Rowlands Pharmacy Osborne Road

I am a new to Southsea, my surgery suggested Rowlands in Osbourne Road. I have a complex medical condition. Each time I have called into the pharmacy I have been welcomed with a smile, and treated by friendly, professional staff. Thank you

went in this week with an embarrassing problem and spoke to the girl behind counter and then felt comfortable talking . can I just say how professionally and helpful the girls were . I would definitely return to this pharmacy again

My husband has gout and rheumatoid arthritis, needs some urgent pain killers. They refused to sell it and said my husband's been there this month (went home and he said he hasn't been there for 4 years, plus never told them who my husband is or what he looks like???). Really terrible judgmental staff, they should try living with someone who has constant pain...

Been here a few times and the lady with the dark hair has always been the most lovely and helpful woman I’ve ever been served by; fully recommend over any pharmacy, made my experience 100x better

Extremely helpful, doctors kept making mistakes with my prescription and the staff here went above and beyond to help with the issue. (especially the lady with dark hair)

I have to visit quite a lot for multiple medications for myself and my wife. The staff are always very courteous and helpful. However repeat prescription turn around times are now much longer although much of this I suspect is to do with a slow response at the local surgery.

I used to be a customer of their Elm Grove pharmacy for several years which was a good service - they closed Elm Grove and redirected my prescriptions to Osborne Road - this place is a disaster, zero service attitude, always long lines and not enough people serving, the first quarter I used them it was hard work and they were unhelpful, the second quarter they said they couldn't source my medication - I went to Goldchem on Albert Rd and they had my meds in 2 days. Don't waste your time here, life is too short.

A month to get the other half of my prescription, five times I went there.Twice they said it will be in the next day. Today after telling them that I really wasn’t happy. They had it. Unbelievable service.

Terrible service. I had to become a customer after my two previous pharmacies closed down (how I miss Rowlands in Albert Road and Elm Grove!) as they were nearest to me. Usual queue up waiting 40 minutes, only to be told 80% of the times, when I finally get to the front, that they don’t have it or the pharmacist is out or too busy to deal with you, and it’s another 30-40 minutes to get his signature for what should be a simple repeat prescription collection. Only 1 person out of 10 leaves with what they came for - after an hour/hour and a half . This happens every time. I switched pharmacies to GoldChem and never looked back. What a difference! 2 minutes after walking in I’m out already, after being attended by a helpful, listening, competent, professional and courteous staff.

Busy pharmacy with a long wait. However the staff are great. They take their time to greet you and have a conversation with you. Impatient people should realise that it’s maybe the first conversation that week for the person. Not everyone has family or friends nearby.
