Absolute beautiful day to cross the ferry, never done before and waited in line for about one hour, but worth it. The crossing takes as little or less than 10 mins. Ferry can take up to two cars at a time and on this day there were more crossing from South to North hence the wait. Imagine during the week and after the early morning rush then it would not be so busy

We had to use the ferry to cross to go to pettits Park, 2 cars can fit on at a time and it takes about 2 mins if that to cross. Wait times vary depending on how busy the water is as they have to wait for boats to cross first which is obviously acceptable due to health and safety, we had no problem waiting as the view is beautiful. There is a pub at one side so you can go for food and have a lovely walk if you just want to explore, I cant remember the prices of everything but a single car fare was £4, return trip £7 and pedestrians I believe 50p one way. Both of the gentlemen how operated the ferry were both very nice.

Excellent and much loved service. And still better value than the Dartford Crossing between Essex and Kent.I love the charming sedate nature of it Crossing the river.

Lovely place to visit. Was warm and comfortable. Steak pie was great. Bass fish with Olives and potatoes was a bit strange. Very acquired taste.Lovely place to go for a walk, and ferry ride was enjoyable and very swift both ways.

I wanted to get across the river without getting wet and I achieved this by using the ferry. What's more is that I wanted to get back to where I started later on. Guess what? I managed that again because the ferry floats across the river due it being floaty and harnessing basic laws of physics. I can't recommend this enough. Great experience of being transported from one place to another and then back again. Definitely recommend.

Useful crossing point across the river Yar roughly halfway between Great Yarmouth and Norwich. Indeed I think it's the only crossing point.The crossing is a chain link ferry that goes backwards and forwards across the river. It only takes two cars so there can be a long wait at busy times. However it was not busy when we got there and we had to wait 5 to 10 minutes the ferry to fill up and to traverse across to our side of the river so we could get on.We crossed with our bicycles, three of us. The cost was £1 per person/bike.Useful and fun way to cut across to the Norfolk Broards.

The smallest car ferry I've ever been on. Room for only 2 cars. 2 minutes and the job's done. An experience none the less. £4.50 single and £7.00 day return.
