We used S A Bates for my father’s funeral. They were professional, compassionate and treated my father and my family with the utmost respect. On the morning of the funeral I forgot my Dads framed photo, but they had already prepared one and the memory box was a very nice touch, Thank you

I have never had to arrange for a funeral.My mother had a funeral plan in place 28 years ago which S A Bates honoured even though it was originally placed with a different funeral director.Heather at S A Bates made me feel at ease and very comfortable with the whole process. The funeral went exactly as planned, the director and bearers were very respectful and polite.Thank you to all those at S A Bates & Son.

Unfortunatley, my experience was not good. The woman I spoke to on the phone was very rude and unacomodating. My mum paid for them to be pallbearers but they requested the family do it, even though they were paid for this. Instead of talking to the family members who were close to the deceased they took there orders from distant members. I would not recommend this funneral home if you grieving the lose of a loved one. We should have gone with Neville.

S A Bates funeral directors were excellent with both my father and grandmother's funerals. Heather and Carol are an asset to this company. I would definitely recommend this company. They were so helpful and understanding at these difficult times. They went out of their way to stop outside Luton Town football ground as a mark of respect to my father who played for them in the early 1960's. Such a lovely gesture which was unexpected.I couldn't fault them at all.

We would like to thank Carol for helping us at such a sad and difficult time.She was truly amazing and helped mum and family through the hard decisions with the arrangements for our Aunty/Sister Violet's funeral. We couldn't fault her organisation. My Mum had always planned to be there to farewell her Mum but with Covid and other circumstances, we had to arrange this service from the other side of the world.
