Magical tropical plants in the glass house were interesting to see. The outdoor garden is yet to show its hidden beauty when the summer begins. The place itself is peaceful and well maintained

Fantastic place to visit. Inside the gardens it is quiet and peaceful. The receptionist lady was super nice and informative. There's a lot to see, everything is well labelled. The glass houses are particularly interesting, the Asian garden is also remarkable. Lots of plants were blossoming, take care with the bees. Entry is about a tenner, free for students.

Great place for a wander or to just sit and have a coffee. The planting comes from all over the globe and there are further interesting tropical plants and cacti in the glasshouses. Lots of information boards and a very peaceful setting.

A beautiful garden among the student residences of Bristol University. A large range of plants in a relatively small area. Lovely, varied landscaping including greenhouses.Easily accessible with a dedicated group of volunteers supplementing the university to staff to take care of the visitors and tend the plants. A well stocked, friendly cafe.

This lovely garden was a bit smaller than I anticipated but still a joy to walk around. Everything labelled, gorgeous Magnolias and spring meadow at the time of my visit but I imagine there is something lovely in each season. Tropical glasshouses are very interesting, full of unusual and intriguing specimens but sadly no giant lily pads as seen on all the promo shots, perhaps it just wasn't the right time of year.

Really interesting place for folk who enjoy gardens and botany. There's a lot of planting, it's well laid out, the paths interweave so it's not a linear journey. The science behind what they've curated is present and its well explained on well presented information boards. A good couple hours at least to go round, longer if you take it all in. Nice little cafe on site: the brie and pesto sandwich is my personal recommend. Entry is £10 but free to current and former students of Bristol uni.

Enjoyed visiting. Especially loved the tree ferns and the lotuses in the glasshouse. The glasshouse really was great. Appreciated the free entry for students and UoB alumni. A nice sandwich in the cafe too.

Beautiful gardens - and free if you are a UoB student! (Or alumni or staff). Lovely annual sculpture trail, an events I look forward to! The glasshouses are particularly good when there's a bit of a nip in the air like today, showcasing some great cacti, bird of paradise flowers, and lotuses - sadly not out, but apparently coming in the next few weeks! Apparently everything changes did fast that's it's worth coming back every few weeks anyway because they'll be something new to see :)

Really enjoyed my visit to the botanic garden. There's a whiteboard of things to see that changes throughout the year, and the staff were very friendly. There's a café and good size car park too
