Cromarty ferry terminal

You couldn't really call this a 'ferry terminal'. It's a good old fashioned slip. Park up and wait your turn to cross to either Nigg or Cromarty.Taken this a couple of times now. The ferry is pretty dinky, so will only manage two large cars or a car and a van with pedestrians/motorcycles/bicycles stashed at either side.There's a covered (but not enclosed) area to the rear. Pay the conductor after boarding.The trip takes around ten to fifteen minutes if I remember things correctly. A novel way to cut out a large section of boring A road if you are heading north.While waiting for the ferry on the Cromarty side, you should have time to grab a coffee and some eats from the Slaughterhouse Coffee Shop which is adjacent to the slip.

A fun little ferry trip. We did have to wait for our turn as only two cars at a time… a little pricey but hey, that’s what holidays are like!!

Fun little way to cross the bay. The ferry is very small and really only suitable for one car, driving around doesn't take long, but it's a bit of fun that we all enjoyed.
