NHSBT Oxford Blood Donor Centre

Very comfortable site with professional staff. Arrive early for your appointment so you have time to drink the regulation pint of water before donating your pint of blood. Nice touch is the texts saying thank you and saying which centre got the donation. One of the most peaceful 30 minutes in my busy schedule.

Amazing staff who always make you feel comfortable and well looked after. Oxford is lucky to have such an incredible centre for blood donation.

Blood & biscuits (Jacobs Club, orange, if you must know) what's not to like. Oh and friendly staff and air con during a heatwave.

Have been about 10 times and the atmosphere is relaxed, helpful, and friendly. Often goes so quick that I wish it would last longer!

Best medical staff I've ever came across. Very sensible, caring and accomodating.A bit hard to find the place (if use Google maps) but it's fine.They were well trained that where the needle went didn't have any trace of blood, or bruising, or any sort of trauma and few hours later my arm was looking as if nothing happened.P.S.Normally if I go through blood tests or anything I always have issues, every single time.P.P.S.I normally don't leave 5 stars but this did deserve it.

As a regular visitor here I have to say that the staff have always been nothing less than totally professional, with a great sense of humour.As someone who is needle phobic, I have have learned to trust implicitly the staff to deliver a great service. They have never let me down.On one occasion I felt a little unwell. The personalised care and attention was first-class, resulting in me making a full recovery very rapidly.If you are considering becoming a donor, this really is the best place for your first experience! You even get to know where your donation goes, if you ask!

Perhaps I’m on my own here, but I donate frequently and find it to be very much a therapeutic experience. Moreover, the staff are genuinely kind, caring and compassionate. In my opinion, the early morning sessions are the best, but then again, I’m sure there’s a great evening atmosphere too. For those who’re undecided, do it! The whole experience is practically pain free - it may be uncomfortable for a moment - but certainly not painful. The nurses are more than willing to make any adjustments necessary to ensure you have a pleasant experience. And to top it off, you leave feeling morally high, knowing that what you have just done may not only simple just save a life, but more importantly, gives someone more time to spend alongside their loved ones. Do the right thing!
