A very cute bookshop that every booklover will enjoy ! There is a large variety of books, and the music playing softly in the background is very good ! Also, big thanks to the person that took care of us and offered us a tote bag, thay were so nice !

Best bookshop in Edinburgh (and it’s hard to choose) the variety of authors - including local and international, a dedicated poetry section, society and politics section make this a shop you could spend a while in. Very knowledgeable staff and perfect spot to pick up a quirky gift or unique magazine. Doesn’t hurt that it’s a short walk from the beach too.

An absolutely gorgeous bookshop with an incredible range of books, from the ones you see everywhere, and some more unusual nd obscure ones.They also have gorgeous stationary too - a must-visit for all book lovers!

I love this bookshop, it's always a pleasure to step inside. I don't buy as many paper books as I used to (my Kindle is too convenient), but I do enjoy the experience of holding a real book. And there is something special about giving a book that has been carefully selected for someone. This is a perfect place to do it. A good range in stock with helpful staff. And some great gift cards.

Very nice, I loved it. I went there 5 days ago and still can't stop thinking about it. Nothing crazy, but just very cute and cosy, with great staff (super welcoming). I spent way too much money there but got beautiful copies of books i struggled to get my hand on (i'm from france). I recommend going there and then reading your newly acquired books on portobello beach :-)

Simply the best indie bookshop out there right now! Superb staff who know their stuff, wonderful thoughtful selection of titles, and beautiful decor really pull you back time and again. I'm Glasgow-based and I still make a point of coming through to see what they have (and how the lovely team are!).Heartily recommend this one - go out of your way to visit it!

Lovely spacious independent bookshop with a nice range of books and small selection of stationery.There are clearly defined areas e.g. children's, graphic novels etc and cosy book nooks and sitting areas along with lush plants and friendly staff.Look out for author events in store.
