Gee is amazing. Such a kind and caring woman who loves her job and does everything she can to make sure everything is perfect. I took all my bridesmaid dresses, hen do outfits, honeymoon outfits, flower girl dress and my mums wedding day outfit to her and she has exceeded all expectations. I wanted to get sleeves altered for my 2 Barbour jackets. Initially, I took it to another well known shop who were charging me way too much which I wasn't willing to pay. Gee got the job done at less than half the price. Although she was very busy, jackets were ready in time. More importantly, the quality of work was excellent. She was very professional, polite and gave me very helpful advice which I appreciate. She knows her job really very well. I would highly recommend her.

I used Carols alterations for the first time after ringing last minute to see if they could take my pants up for me within a day. I took them down and Gee had them sorted for me within 24 hours even though she also wasn’t very well. I will definitely be returning and very grateful. Thank you!

I regret to say this (2nd) time around, I am unhappy about the shortening of a brand new (expensive) trenchcoat. The back is slightly shorter than the front and the latter also does not evenly match up, all looks worse when belted as the back rides up, so emphasises the difference. It is heartbreaking to have this item spoilt in this way. I could not even sell on at at anything like the new cost now as any buyer would complain about the item overall. The coat also smells strongly of smoke/fried food, it has now had to go to the dry cleaners, where I was told it will have to be washed as dry cleaning won't resolve the problem. I also did not appreciate the terse way I was treated, I am always polite with everyone. I received a text at 7am from the shop, (my Christian name completely misspelt) asking me to collect the coat. When I called in mid-morning, Carol did not remember me, and initially said she hadn't sent the text. She was quite off hand with me and annoyed I did not have the £30 cash, which meant going to Asda to get. No receipt given for the coat alteration. Sorry, but I won't be using again, I have an extremely limited budget and this has cost me dearly.

I took three jackets to have wool cuffs sewn on each sleeve to increase the length of each sleeve. Absolutely first class work undertaken, I would give ten stars if I could. I would highly recommend Carol’s Alterations for any and all work. If you need your clothes adjusted.

What a fantastic job done on my daughters bridesmaid dress. She managed to fix a mistake made by a different seamstresses. 100% recommended. Thank you again ❤️

Gee is Absolutely brilliant she altered the sleeves on a dress for me and they are perfect . She has also previously shortened curtains for me.
