Chucho’s The Real Mexican Food
The best Mexican food in the North East. Everything cooked to order and made the right way. Hand made corn tortillas, proper nachos (not tipped out of a bag), and Michelin Star worthy tacos.Some may argue it’s a little on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for, and its worth every penny.Stars of the show are the nachos and the daily specials (black pudding taco was incredible). Also, the scotch bonnet salsa was a work of art in itself.Hats off!

This is, without a doubt, the worst Mexican food we have ever had. Putting to one side the tiny portions (£18 for 6 tiny tacos), the two biggest problems were the cooking of the proteins (which were all extremely dry) and the overpowering coriander usage. Coriander is so strong it has to be used sparingly, but not here. It is piled on, meaning it is very difficult to make out any other flavours. The other issue worth mentioning is the background" music blasting out of a mobile phone in between me and the host meaning I couldn't hear what he was saying. He could see that was happening

Real authentic Mexican taquitos, not fake wannabe mexican food like that sold in the many TexMex eateries. Anyone in comments that says otherwise has probably never set foot in Mexico. A haggis taco puts an unusual UK spin on a Mexican staple that's a worthy experience. Friendly owners who are happy to talk about food. The only downside is that the tacos are so delicious that it's hard to not eat every taco on the menu. Great food - great taste... ¡Que vive méxico ca...!

Chuchos’s is a proper place to eat authentic Mexican Food. Their tacos are the best in the North East and maybe in all the UK! They have such a good service, so fast as well! The staff is friendly and helpful. The place is so cozy, full of colour and makes you feel like in Mexico. The have different options of tacos you can try, even vegetarian options, I strongly suggest to try tacos of “Chorizo”, Carnitas” and “Alambre”. They have an offer of 3 tacos for £9. You can pay by cash and by card. They don’t sell alcohol at the moment as in their others branches though but still Chuchos is the best place in Newcastle to have Mexican Food. #properMexicanFood #mexican #foodieguide

Very tasty, freshly prepared tacos. However, don’t expect to fill up here, the tacos are tiny and I could probably eat around 15 of them. 15 X £3 per taco X by 2 people = £90 plus drinks on top makes for an expensive meal! The menu is very limited and only the tacos were available.

Delicious tacos! An authentic taste of Mexico with a unique twist. Everything is made from scratch, and the ingredients are extremely fresh. The staff are always friendly, and take great care in making each taco perfect.Tip: Fresh cooking takes time, and this place can get busy, so expect a decent wait time during busy hours (lunch and dinner) — can be upwards of 30 minutes at times.
