Brunswick Square Hotel

Paid £51.30 for a night on the ground floor (002) bed was comfortable, shower had no issues, interior design was pretty nice and can't really go wrong for that price. That being said, the TV didn't connect to any services mentioned and the inner sheet of my bed had a massive brown stain, will be optimistic and expect this to be the complimentary tea or coffee that somebody accidentally spilt. Staff were pretty kind and my stay was relatively cozy - nicely located by the seafront and a high street.

THIEVES!Initially was meant to be £166 booking (which for this is already overpriced), but they ended up charging me £184 without any reason given.Next, they charged me £20 to book a spot for parking in the public car park they have partnered with, however, on the paybyphone app, it would have been £10.The room was tiny, could not change the heat setting on the shower, no toiletries like soap or hand wash was provided!All the QR codes for late checkout did not work.Absolute garbage hotel. DO NOT BOOK HERE! I will be calling up and emailing to try and get my money back, this kind of service should be illegal.

Sara the staff member we spoke to was very rude and cut the phone on us. They asked us to go to one of their buildings near by building no 33 despite your email notification saying building no 11. The building they sent us to was not even 1* quality. We had to check into another hotel nearby and was much better. The money is not refundable if you are not happy or have concerns about your stay. No security of your room. We were 7 people and had 1 bathroom and toilet. The contact number they provided was no use at all. This hotel should be shut down because they are fooling people and making money.

As soon as we checked in we were asked to pay an unexpected £30 cleaning fee. This was made worse by the fact that our room was dirty. We had used, wet towels in our bathroom, there was no hand soap in the bathroom and it was dirty overall. Sheets had some marks, stains on the carpet, surfaces were dusty. No fridge, only a kettle but no bottled water provided. The window was old and had to be propped open and let it a lot of sound from the street. Bathroom door was sliding a plank of wood with no lock. No elevator in the building, and we were on the fifth floor. No on-site parking. Only pro is the nice receptionist and hotels good location right by the beach and close to the town centre. Not worth the money whatsoever.

Booked this Hotel for an Anniversary as it had a sauna and hot tub. Wasn't what the pictures or description promised.Sauna and hot tub weren't available. The room was shabby. Dirty pillows, towels, doors.Bed side tables chipped, one had a burn on top, other had a hair in the drawer. Bath had paint splodges in it plus a hair. No plug hole in sink. No handwash. TV signal shocking, not digital. Walls extremely thin. Was described as ' Presidential Suite '. Didn't stay as we were so angry and disappointed. Would not recommend.

I cant get hold of them before my booking. I'm hoping that someone on their team sees this so I can contact them. Ive put my deposit down and tried to book a private hot tub but no response through email and none of the numbers work. I'll change my rating if someone gets back to me

I stayed here for 2 nights and I thought it was better than what the negative reviews mentioned.The staff was nice to let me check-in about half an hour early. I got a room on the second floor and it isn’t that bad if you don’t compare it to other hotel’s standard. It’s a tad on the smaller side (cozy, if you will) but definitely a good place if you’re planning to just have a room to sleep.The downsides:- It’s not accessibility-friendly as there are no lifts.- The bathroom’s quite narrow and the water options range from hot to scalding so it wasn’t easy to shower.- Power sockets are lower to the floor so you’ll have to bend over. Not great for those with back and knee issues (then again, you might not be able to climb the stairs if you’re all the way on the fourth floor).- I find it rather expensive for a room of this standard, to be honest.Took a while but I got deposit after a week.

The evaluation of this place is very subjective based on the price paid.We paid 70 pounds in August for a small, outdated room with a very worn carpet and a view of a wall. The bathroom was new but unfortunately the shower temperature regulator was broken and as advised by the sign posted outside the shower we had to take a shower as we could not adjust the temperature. At times it was cold. The sink was chipped but still working.The bed was really confortable, and everything was clean.The reception desk was only open a few hours a day.So if you dont pay to much for it is not that bad.

Excellent location and lovely lady on reception but that’s about the only positive. Room was tiny and the mattress was completely gone to the point I could feel the bed frame underneath. No shower gel provided and the bathroom was tiny. Absolutely not worth the price. Much better value is available nearby.
