Was very impressed and would have given 5 stars but beware, unless an item is faulty you'll only get a credit note, not a refund. Bought two girths, explained not sure what size I needed and that one, possibly both would be coming back and this not told to me. Considering I'd spent over £150 during that visit far from happy having to argue for a refund. Will only use if I have to now which is a shame as I did find the staff helpful up to that point.

Awful communication.I took my saddle to Risley Saddlery for an easy repair whilst I was away for 2 weeks and I was told the service would take 7 days.When I returned, it still hadn’t been repaired and I was told that someone would contact me with an update.I messaged & tried calling several times since that point of contact and was forgotten about and then ignored.I went to collect my un-repaired saddle after 3.5 weeks and it was still sat in the same place that I’d left it and they gave me no explanation or apology as to why it hadn’t been done.

I rang them today asking for a quote on feed and delivery fee and they told me £10 for delivery and minimal order of £50.. which is £60 in total at LEAST. I know online stores that will deliver minimal order of £30 for FREE! and according to their site they deliver ANY price, under £100, for £6 and anything over £100 is free.. So basically they lied. I told them I was disabled and thus couldn't drive and that my local horse store wouldn't deliver. Why would they lie to a person who has mobility issues who clearly needed delivery servics? I will not bother with these again!Giving it 2 star because the guy on the other end of the line was surprisingly pleasant and tried his best to be helpful and understanding. To be honest I didn't even know there was a guy there, must be new, bless him.

Ok if in need of something urgently, as the prices are expensive compared to online. That saying i know online is generally cheaper but the prices here i was quite shocked at.However it is set in a lovely place and has all your horse needs just pricey.

Risley Saddlery has always had excellent wide ranging stock. I've been going tgere gor at least Very good showing equipment. It is quite expensive there in terms of leather goods - but you do get what you pay for. I've got showing bridles I've had for 20yrs which are superb.Well worth a visit.

Use this place to walk and train our dogs. Fully enclosed so dogs cannot run off. Many training aids available. Little muddy at the moment but fine. Lovely lady runs it and at £4.00 an hour per dog bargain.
