Ordered a SRAM cassette on-line a few days before. Collected at 17.15 on Saturday. No problems, good price. They could improve the website. Their allied on-line company, Tredz, has a better one & is worth a look.

Visited the store yesterday for new windscreen wipers and just wanted to give praise to the gentleman who looked after me. I didn’t catch his name but it’s the guy with the plaited beard. He was so helpful and informative. He had several customers waiting but never made me feel rushed. Great customer service. Thanks Halfords and thanks plaited beard guy! You’re a star!

I dropped my bike off on Saturday in a bit of an emergency with brake and gear problems, they said it may be Monday or Tuesday when ready. I got a call late afternoon on Saturday to say it was fixed, I picked it up and did a 32 mile test, it runs like a dream. Thank you so much guys x

Called in today for a new battery at Darlington Halfords. I was lucky enough to have Mark deal with me, he really is a star and went above and beyond. Having a volvo car it's not the easiest car to change the battery in. Even tho his shift had finished, he stayed a good hour extra to change the battery. I'd just like to say thank you so much for your hard work especially in the wind. Also thanks to K that helped too. These guys don't get the recognition that they deserve.

I had a puncture on the back wheel of my bike - service was excellent. Staff were very helpful, I received a phone call and text when the bike was ready. They also checked the bike to make sure everything else looked ok which was much appreciated. I highly recommend Halfords.

It's a bit of a love hate relationship. I love what Halfords offers and the staff are friendly and helpful .. but the poor staff at Darlington always seem to be rushed off their feet. There just doesn't seem to be enough of them. The staff already serving customers are great. Just employ some more!

Dreadful. Ordered some oil for my car off the website. Went to pick it up and they had set aside the wrong oil. They went to get the right grade and none in stock, despite their system showing there were 2 left. Waited three days for the correct stuff, and they were supposed to ring me when it came in. They didnt. The website insisted I was using the wrong oil, despite it being the correct one as recommended by Audi. It kept taking it out of my basket and trying to get me to collect it from another store miles away.. There is no local branch phone numbers on the website. Instead you get a switchboard where they can hardly speak English. The staff in store are as helpful as they can be, but the whole system and poor management lets them down. I will never shop here again.

My thanks to Halfords in Darlington for the service provided today who stocked the part I needed for my car, fitted in 10 minutes and provided a free 10 point winter check on my car. This small job was completed very quickly on my car for the fraction of the cost a main dealer would have charged and without an appointment! Thanks again.

My husband recently bought me a bike from Halfords in order to take my toddler out and about on the back. Unfortunately the bike seat we already had didn't fit and when contacting the shop Jamie was so helpful, he ordered me an extender which I didn't even know existed. Few days later he rang to say it was instock and if I dropped my bike seat and bike off back to the shop he would sort it all our for me! I did just that and Jamie actually worked his magic and managed to get the seat attached for me without the extra piece, saving me money! I was very grateful to have encountered such a knowledgeable, friendly and approachable member of staff, he is an asset to your store! Thanks again!
