Really friendly staff, super helpful. The room was nice and included a hairdryer, iron, fan and free wi-fi which was great. There is a bar situated next to the river which is lovely. The breakfast was nice, they had vegan sausages and vegan almond milk...just make sure you ask for it.Would use again although I do think the rooms are a bit overpriced.

The hotel is being modernised and therefore not fully opened.Parking was confusing as two different members of staff have conflicting information. The room was modern and roomy and the bed comfy. However, the bathroom fan was not working and there were no glasses to have water in the night.Breakfast was ok but I had asked for skimmed milk the night before and at breakfast the girl looked surprised to be asked, despite the order going in 12 hours before.Had I known I could have popped out to buy some and then been able to enjoy my breakfast with a drink. The staff try hard but appear a little overwhelmed by the task ( both reception staff and breakfast). A very friendly bar maid though who made it all better.

Beautiful location but hotel tired and in need of refresh. Stayed there yesterday, bathroom wasn’t cleaned, hair on shower floor with used shower gels not removed. toilet hadn’t been cleaned, lucky we brought our bleach and wipes. Slept on top of bed as sheet was soiled. The only saving grace was the meals which we both enjoyed once we decided not to imagine what their kitchen looked like. River views lovely but I won’t be going back anytime soon.

Amazing location ruined by aggressive rude lady who runs the restaurant. We went for pizza with a group and the service was incredibly slow, food came out very hot and when I took a bite the sauce burnt the skin under my mouth. We were confused about the bill and went to speak to the lady to clarify and instead of remembering we are paying customers she shouted rudely St me and was very aggressive. Her negative aggressive energy ruined the rest of the evening for me when all I asked was a simple question.Would not recommend to anyone unless they change the lady who runs the restaurant or send her on some customer service training.Note when we went it was Friday night and we were pretty much the only customers there!

Beautiful location. We stayed in a large twin room, which was spotlessly clean with a modern on suite. Containing a lovely large shower, also spotlessly clean. Room 20.All possible needs catered for. The room contained a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, free standing fan for warmer days, a wide screen T.V and tea and coffee making facilities. We enjoyed a superb evening meal and breakfast. The staff were all very polite, friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.Thank you for such a lovely comfortable stay.Ms Anderson

Shocking...dont normally write reviews but feel I have to in case anyone else makes the same mistake. Phoned the restaurant to check they were serving Sunday roasts, which I was told they were and booked a table. Arrived and were told it's a bar menu only, disappointed but thought we would give it a try. Only had a couple of options actually available from the menu so went for scampi and chips. My diet coke was poured from a warm bottle that was completely flat with half a lemon plonked in. No kids menu but were told portion sizes were large so could share. The food came and it was cold and I was unsure if the scampi was cooked through, barely enough for one with no sides..just a very beige plate...for £11. Wanted to speak to a member of staff but couldn't work out who actually worked there, before realising that it was the aggressive looking man who I had thought was a customer due to the lack of work he was doing and the amount of rum and coke he was knocking back. The women who we ordered from looked harassed when anyone asked for anything and they proceeded to have a heated row by the hotel. The hotel itself was tatty and and dated. Police turned up looking for someone as we made.our exit. Such a shame as it used to be a good Sunday lunch in a nice setting. We ended up going to Macdonald's.

Beautiful relaxing afternoon spent by the river, lovely friendly waitress served us. Had a delicious pizza, freshly cooked, all washed down with lovely cold bottle of beer. Spur of the moment day trip, but would definitely like to stay for a couple of nights.
