The Falcon Boutique Inn on Micklegate
The apartment was spacious, very clean, comfy and everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and we had a lovely night. The location is also really good as it's close to the train station but within the city walls and within walking distance of everywhere. Also, bathroom and shower were really goodThe only small downside is that there were no bath towels in the bathroom. Only two small hand towels. If we'd know this we would've brought our own towels... Instead, we had to make do with the tiny ones. We stayed only one night, so it was ok but if we had stayed longer we may have needed bigger towels for a proper shower.

Lovely place selling Turning Point beers. Only four tables at the front but there may be another room. It used to be a large pub but believe that it is mainly a boutique hotel now

The Falcon Boutique Inn on Micklegate
We recently stayed at the Falcon Inn for a few nights while visiting York, and enjoyed our stay! The location is fabulous - just a few minutes from the train station, and easy walking distance to all sorts of attractions, shops and restaurants. The apartment itself was clean and reasonably spacious, and we were provided with a cute welcome pack, including coffee, tea, milk, and cookies.The apartment contained a washing machine, which was nice, but no dryer, so you may need to plan around that. The TV was also a bit finicky with changing channels, but we could still watch Netflix if we wanted.For the location and value for money, the Falcon Inn is definitely worth considering if you're planning to stay in York!

I'm in here most weeks and it's always a pleasure.The bar has a great selection of beers, with regulars from Turning Point, and always interesting guest craft beers. Mix of keg and cask. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly.It's a smaller place, on a street filled with bars, but the vibe is as good as the beer and that's why I keep going back.

Unfortunately, I have an affection for the old establishment and was a little underwhelmed by the make-over. The artwork is great and maybe there is more atmosphere on a busier evening.

Rented an apartment from them nearby for a 2-night stay. The apartment is roomy, modern and very clean. The bed and pillows are comfortable. The location is fantastic. Our room has a clothes washer and 2 soap pods!! For the price, it is a good value.Be advised, as advertized, it does not include toiletries (shampoo, conditioner) but they do provide a bath towel, face towel, and a floor mat.Negatives: 1) There is no air conditioning. The weather is unseasonably warm and our room is a sauna. The window only opens about 2 inches (5 cm) for security purposes and I could'nt get much of a breeze through the window (and I could hear the neighbors).2) There is no ventilation in the bathroom and it smells a bit moldy.3) The advertized price does not include an additional £30 for processing fee and VAT ( tax).

Stay, once we got in the apartment was reasonable, though a big part of that was due to York being a lovely city. Getting in the apartment was nothing short of a shambles right from the start. Be warned - because the hosts won't warn you - that you must check your emails right up to your entry day. This is because you only learn last minute that you need a keysafe code to get in your digs. We had no prior knowledge of this, so turned up at the place without any way of entry. Both phone numbers on the final confirmation still haven't returned our calls, nor has the email address. After breaching security protocols to retrieve the belated email from my works account, we then found the code was invalid! After an hour and a half at the roadside in 30° heat, we were ready to make the 5 hour trip home. Fortunately a couple arrived to check in, and tho their code was also wrong, they at least had a number which was answered, and we were given entry codes. Great, or perhaps not, as on entry we found the apartment had not been cleaned. Eventually a lady turned up to tidy the digs and change the linen etc. But it was a makeshift tidy up, as we spent the week walking in dust/hairs from the previous guests, and brushing dust of our clothes. We are anything but snobs, so we made the most of it. Arguably my biggest gripe, is that I am still (2 weeks later) awaiting a reply to my complaints via email. These apartments could be perfect if they were managed better, great location, and well priced for modern accommodation in a city centre. I had been awaiting a response from management before posting this, but as no contact has been made, I'm compelled to warn others.

Lovely apartment, clean and great location. Pub was closed due to refurbishments. The news agents can store luggage before check in or after check out. Apartment had all that you need, fridge & freezer, washing machine. Oven and hob, kettle, coffee maker, kettle, microwave. Shower was amazing! Only thing I needed was an iron. I will 100% be staying here again when I return to York. Thank you.
