I went into Waitrose Truro this morning panicked because l have a lunch on tomorrow for Father’s Day and l needed lobster tails and quails eggs and of course they had both the assistant who was actually busy stacking the chiller left his job and helped me find what l needed l wish l had taken his name because he was absolutely lovely couldn’t have been more helpful. I know Waitrose is seen as being more expensive than other shops but the quality and variety of food they have and the friendly helpful staff is definitely worth the extra few pence

Helpful and professional staff but the store is managed by incompetent management.1) The freezer have been broken since November 2022. It’s beyond utter belief that the only Waitrose store in this part of Cornwall, cannot afford to invest in new fridges. When they do work - they are not stocked at all, see pictures.2) Why would you start picking for home shopping and start filling shelves at the same time at circa 8:30am? Meats isle is absolute choc a block every morning with stuff refilling shelves and pickers trying to get stuff. Where is the management?? Why is this not through through?3) Why did you remove hand cleaning station at the beginning of the store? Sainsbury’s and Tesco still have them.Please for the love of god - find a new store manager.

We went for breakfast and it was just lovely. Nicely cooked, well presented and nice ingredients. Staff we very friendly and it all arrived in a sensible time frame. Top marks and will go again

Staff are helpful although moral seems very low.Went in on Sunday to buy from meat counter only to find it being cleaned down along with the fish counter! This was two hours before closing time.Aisles are blocked by staff and cages filling shelves, untidy shelves and I have found split open packets of meat and out of date, products.Free coffee is all well and good, but rarely any milk for a latte, even at 8am!One of staff on the deli was eating the products but then served without washing hands!I am constantly being followed by a security guard who then asked me to take his picture using his personal phone!What has happened to this store, it used to be a lovely place to shop, seems like management have given up

We found most of what we were looking for except Hovis flour, despite Waitrose website saying otherwise. A male member of staff was very helpful.Only 4 stars due to flour and unnecessarily high prices. Most were 25p more than Tesco.

The building from the outside looks magnificent.cafe inside.A truly unique large cornish food section.Toilets available.Fresh food counters.Plenty of parking.A large store that's worth a visit !

Expensive. Good standards and a very clean store.Why no organic grapes!Had a cafe latte and it was the weakest I've had in years (I'm not jesting). The barista's need to taste the coffee they make, and the cafe manager needs to see that its customers have value for money. My wife and I were very disappointed. We didn't complain at the time as we were in a hurry.

We were told the full English breakfast was available until midday but it was already off the menu when we arrived at 11.55. We opted for steak & ale pie with mash and peas instead plus tea and cake but I was underwhelmed with it. The pie was OK but not as much meat as expected for the cost and the mashed potatoes must have been microwaved as it was mouth burningly hot and all served in a bowl for some unknown reason. The cake was supposed to have some rose flavour in it but I couldn't detect any at all so that was also a disappointment. The staff were pleasant so its just the food that I wouldn't bother with again, to be honest, the cheap all day breakfast at Sainsbury's is way better value and tastes really good. I probably won't be lunching at Waitrose again until there are some improvements made.
