Attended a party in the ancient hall probably built at the end of WW2 hence the name. It's age can be seen in places and could do with a lick of paint.

Visit here to funeral wake, hall has not changed much from when was a lad, I lived in the village of lower Penn, could do with decorating to make it a bit smarter.

Never met such a rude man . The car park of the greyhound was full, but there was a clear sign stating the overflow carpark was next door at the parish hall.We enjoyed our meal and returned to our car to find we had been blocked in even though there were plenty of spaces , went inside the hall to ask if the owner could move and he came out quite happily, then when outside repeatedly asked us to read the private car park sign, even though we explained the greyhound had a sign directing us to the parish car park , and then quite threateningly insisted they had no right to do so. He moved in the end but marred our enjoyable evening.

Went to a party there. Very nostalgic musty-smelling place. Nice sized and decent carpark. Needs a good refurb though
