CLOWN SERVICE AT ITS BEST wake up 8AM to call for the Appointment 700 Calls 1 hour later they pick up to say they got no appointments left.And when they do give you Appointment is the nurse not the doctor that calls you back. I've been having back problem and for them 10+ weeks of back pain isn't concerning enough to refer for MRI scan so they waited till I can hardly stand up and walk to proceed with that. I'd keep away from BTEC surgery like this one I hope someone takes over and sorts this place out

Stantonbury doctors is really bad. The doctors still will not see you if there don't want to . Can not get any appiontmrnts .its really hard to see a doctor these days. Trying to sort my health but the docs don't want to help . The dogs don't seam to know what there doing any more I think thay need more training. Or go back to doctors school

Awful! Have had lots of issues with these guys over the years! Called to book an appointment to see the GP today after my eardrum burst! I work in a GP surgery and had been examined already and told I had a burst eardrum but had to call my Dr for treatment! They refused point-blank to book an appointment claiming they don't do that anymore! Told me if I couldn't call every morning at 8 to get a same day call only service (a call for somebody who is now completely deaf!l) then I'd just have to go to the hospital. Been sat in urgent care for 6 hours now in agony because my Dr refuses to see patients! What's the point in their existence!

My experience has been awful. I've been a patient at this practice all my life. April this year I had a slight twinge in my chest/heart area. I had been having weird palpitations beforehand so went for an ecg at the practice. Upon receiving a call from my GP (I'd love to disclose his name). He first asked me why I came in for the ecg (even though he is my fathers GP too, and my father was diagnosed with an inherent heart condition, so he should know) he proceeded to tell me even though he's not a cardiologist that he suspects an enlarged heart and angina!!!!! This honestly sent me in to a spiral of fear that I still haven't resolved mentally. I had a mental, physical and emotional breakdown, since that phone call (yes not even a face to face). I visited a&e 5/6 times, had roughly 5 ecgs, chest x-rays, had book my own private MRI that costs thousands, spent hundreds on private blood tests and visited a private cardiologist. I suffered mentally so much that I hit rock bottom and was at a time hopeless. I still am in recovery from this episode and have contemplated the worst. 9 months on my family and I have been through hell. This practice understand nothing about mental health, I have been to two crisis centres, as I couldn't cope. This NHS as a whole and MIND have never contacted me for added support. All they want is to ask how I found their practice or service to complete a survey for their system and send you on your way. It all started from a misdiagnosed phone call. Worst time of my life and i'm still trying to heal. If I could sue the I would.

i am writing this review in the name of my partner whom is a cancer patient.to get an appointment with the doctor one needs to start calling a constantly busy line from 8am , by 9;30am- she managed to get through- only to be told that she can have a doctors appointment on the phone -at any time of the day - the doctor will make only one attempt to get in touch.the most insensitive GP told my partner that he cant be bothered to follow on with her cancer treatments- by saying i dont have time for that""you have too many problems". what a... (SHE TOOK 6 MIN OF HIS TIME)do not register here"

After a bit of a struggle to get a Doctor appointmentThe care from the Doctor was very good and the outcome was positive

Had a scan rejected by the hospital, wasn't informed and nothing was done until I chased it and called the X-ray department myself,just to be told to call again tomorrow

How do we change our GP? Which one is better than this around here? Or is private healthcare the only solution?

Poor service overall. I was reading the few positives reviews and I am sure are made by the staff who are working there. Purebeck doesn’t offer a dignified service to the patients. All staff needs training for customer service, specially the receptionists. You cannot have an appointment in person, you have to insist really hard to have access to your medical records, you need to waste a full day to wait for the doctor call. They are treating you like they are making you a favour for accessing their services , like they are not paid from the public money. Don’t choose this practice .
