I had one of the best haircut experiences when I visited Gruagaire in Morningside. Ammar cut my hair but we chatted about what I wanted first and he advised me on what we could do. He was friendly and professional. I enjoyed a beard trim too with a hot towel shave. I would highly recommend you visit this hairdresser and find out for yourself. Very reasonably priced too. My wife and I are doing a portrait session for our 10-year anniversary next week, so I went to get a haircut to get ready.We just moved here two weeks ago, and this place had great reviews so I decided to give they a try.I scheduled the longer session to make sure the stylist wasn't rushing through my cut which often happens with men's haircuts. I didn't give her a vague description or show her a picture of a celebrity. I showed her a closeup photo of myself from 6 months ago of exactly what I wanted. Despite this and telling her the guy who cut my hair in that photo had used scissors, she grabbed the clippers and buzzed all the way up the side of my head cutting off a significant amount of hair that was supposed to stay long.When I tried to explain to her what she had done wrong, she clearly didn't understand me and had to get someone who spoke English.The guy who tried to fix it was apologetic and did his best, but the damage was done. When I walked in the door, the look on my wife's face said it all.Thousands of pounds on a photographer and dresses and a new suit, and for the rest of my life, I'll look at our anniversary photos and see an awful haircut.I'm absolutely livid.

I booked a last-minute visit with Sonia, and she’s absolutely incredible!For 10 years, I’ve been trying to find a good hairdresser in Edinburgh, and I finally found one! Would highly recommend Ammar to cut your child's hair was so patient and amazing with our boy and will definitely be going back for further haircuts. Can't thank Ammar enough for how my boy was treated. For a child's first haircut that's the place to go.

Top class barber, Ammar has always been very attentive and amazing with giving the kids a fantastic haircut, while being patient and understanding.
