The Poetry School
The Poetry School is the best place for poets at any level to learn or expand their skills. Workshops and courses run by poets for poets.5 of the poems in my pamphlet 'Cut the Black Rabbit' (Against the Grain Poetry Press) were written while on courses here- I honestly can't recommend the Poetry School highly enough.

The Poetry School
I recently completed the online course Lighting the Flame. The course was excellent in every aspect. I was impressed by the materials which the tutor prepared and also the quality of the feedback provided by colleagues on the course. I learnt a great deal, and my writing benefited from the experience. I also came away with many ideas for new poems and renewed enthusiasm.

Good choice of courses. Did the Monologue course with Jonathan Edwards and he was very good at structuring the assignments and provided constructive feedback on the submissions. Classmates submitted some terrific poetry and I wish them all the best with their writing.

The Poetry School
My first experience of Poetry School and it was Prose Poetry with Carrie Etter. Great course, excellent tuition and feedback and superb input from very talented fellow students. Only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is that the online system is a tad clunky although it works reasonably well.

After participating in 3 transnational courses I can highly recommend the Poetry School's courses. A really good way to challenge yourself and your poetry writing, and share ideas and feedback with other poets.

I took one course at The Poetry School with Wanda O'Connor titled Wretched Strangers" and it was wonderful. I was surprised at the amount of detail she and the others in the class included in assessments of student work. I would definitely recommend the Poetry School and would definitely take another of their courses in the future."

I've done many a course at the Poetry School. You're never made to feel stupid if you don't want to read out your poem, but if you do, the tutors and your fellow studens always find something to praise. Good politics too =-I've learned a lot. from the very wide range of reading and the group's discussion. Often funny; often fun;; go home or switch off zoom full of inspiration..

The Poetry School
Just finished Cut-ups and Constraints course which I can highly recommend. Well designed course, I learned loads of new stuff which is sending me down a new route towards (hopefully) producing a pamphlet. The tutor provided excellent and helpful feedback, as did the other participants. I wouldn't change anything about the course and am signing up to another Poetry School course in the autumn.

The Poetry School
You don't have to be an inexperienced poet or completely new to poetry to benefit from all that the Poetry School has to offer. During the last year I've taken workshops on Visual art, joined an online group reading Auden's The Sea and the Mirror, taken part in a collaborative performance of poems inspired by the Battle of the Somme film and received a detailed evaluation of a collection of poems. I thoroughly recommend the Poetry School if you want to develop as a poet.
