Eckington Wharf Picnic Place
Best place around to launch your SUP or kayak, with free carpark and picnic area. Beautiful part of Avon, especially if you go upstream to Nafford Weir! May be quite busy at times.

Great for launching paddle boards from. However some local yoofs decided to have a BBQ on the wooden bench, resulting in it setting on fire.

Relaxing by the River Avon, picnic tables, walks and the occasional paddle boarder. Shaded area if the sun is not for you.

Great place to stop for a picnic free parking. Did a circular walk from here before returning to eat our picnic. Picnic area well stocked with wooden tables and chairs. Sat in peace and quiet looking out across the river Avon. The circular walk from here was very well marked and easy walking.

Good place to launch paddle boards or small water craft. Parking can be difficult as very popular.

If you're looking for a peaceful and scenic spot to take a break during a long drive, I highly recommend checking out this picnic stop place. The beautiful bridge and quiet area to park the car make for a picturesque setting, and the opportunity for our little dog to sniff around and explore was a bonus. One of the best features of this stop was the availability of picnic benches where we could sit and enjoy some food while taking in the beautiful scenery. It was a great spot to relax and take a break from the road.Overall, if you're looking for a place to take a breather and enjoy some time in nature, this picnic stop place is definitely worth a visit. The beautiful bridge and quiet parking area, as well as the availability of picnic benches, make it a great spot to recharge and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.

Very nice scenic spot next to the river Avon in Worcestershire, reasonable sized car park but gets full very quickly on nice days and is prone to flooding during the wetter months. Nice views of Eckington bridge and easy access to the water. Comes with mooring posts and picnic benches with metal plates for portable / disposable barbecues. Nearby Eckington has a couple of pubs if you want to grab something to eat/drink or need the toilet, but nothing directly on site by way of facilities. Good for people with mobility issues as it's pretty flat.

Nice view by the riverside. There are 2 or 3 picnic tables but make sure you take your rubbish with you as there are no waste bins. A bin for dig waste is provided. The area is used by paddle borders, wild swimmers and dig walkers. There's a lovely circular route of around 4 miles with a pub and village store on route. Mainly by the water and through quiet village lanes. Lovely views.
