Just went for respite after an operation. The care given is first class and was reluctant to leave , and the food is well presented and delicious

My Dad has lived here for several years and is very happy and content. This family run home caters for all his needs and the staff are very kind and caring.He initially went for respite breaks and thought it was like a 5 star hotel"!! The food is excellent as we have had lunch ourselves several times with him.He now has his own lovely room with ensuite toilet and washbasin. Nothing is too much trouble and he is encouraged to go to some of the events that are arranged.When we visited before Christmas they had set up a cocktail bar which was enjoyed by everyone.Highly recommended as a "home from home" environment where Caring comes with a capital C!"

Not our problem". I collected a frail wheelchair bound resident to take them to their relations' home so they could go with them to the Remembrance Day service at the local Church. Arriving at the house I was greeted by the carer of the partner

It was some two years ago when we brought Dad to be looked after at The Old Rectory. His reluctance to leave his home evaporated very quickly after a few days of personal care by the lovely staff and the warm welcome given by them and the other residents. Now the Old Rectory is his home and he loves it.The atmosphere is warm and tranquil and the rooms are well appointed. Dad loves the social events and particularly enjoys seeing everyone for a pre lunch aperitif. The food is first class and I very much look forward to the times I can join him for lunch.I have to thank all the staff for the excellent care of Dad.I would wholeheartedly recommend this nursing home
