Marian House Nursing Home

We have a relative at Marion House who has been there a number of years . The care she has received has been very good and we have been very happy with her living there. We would recommend Marion House to anyone looking for a nursing home for there relative .

My father posted a review last week and you have deleted it? Why would you do this. Surely feedback should be impartially measured negative or positive. You have let him down and I wish to discuss the shortfalls of your care and the management of the nursing home as my father has been left in a vulnerable situation whereby you are demanding money from him after the passing of my mother. Why do you not call back? I left messages last week no calls.

Well I have visited many care homes as a Mobile Hairdresser and I have got to say that Marion House goes over and above in its care and communication with residents and their families.There is a really lovely feel to the home and there is a genuine care by staff for the residents there.I cannot recommend them highly enough.Keep up the good work you are all amazing and are really making a difference to the residents that are there. Well Done ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Marian House is a wonderfully caring attentive and professional nursing home with a very welcoming atmosphere. They listen to any concerns or requests that we, as a family, may have and always act promptly. They treat my mum with patience, dignity and respect and always try to make her smile. This a lovely home that is highly recommended! Thank you to all at Marian House !

My mom was end of life and so had funding under continued health care. Now she stabilised, they chucking her out because she has to pay and funds are not available because of court having control of her funds. They just want to get rid of her !!

In my experience, Marian House is a really excellent Nursing Home. First impression is that it is light and airy and residents are 'awake' because there is so much interaction going on.They really work to get to know the needs of each individual in terms of care, physical and mental stimulation. My husband has been 'challenging' and they have worked to settle him - an ongoing piece of work - but he is happy and 'loved'. The management are keen to interact with relatives and work on constructive feedback - great sign of a good home. Rooms are really clean and there are no 'niffs' . Food is plentiful, freshly cooked and appetising. The activity programme is punctuated by celebration days, visiting singers and surprises such a miniature ponies. More importantly the activity co-ordinator tries to establish individual interests and feed these. Nothing is ever perfect but , speak up as a relative, and this is as near as it can get.

Marian House is a great home with a lovely atmosphere. It has a large lounge area and beautiful private garden for residents to enjoy. Staff are caring and considerate and go out of their way to make residents comfortable and happy.

My brother in law has been a resident in the home for nearly 4 yrs now he has always been well cared for it is a lovely atmosphere with plenty of activities throughout the year it also has a pleasant garden for the residents to sit out in during the summer monthsThankyou all

Came to bring a friend in for restbite and with in 5mins was told they would not be able to cope with him as he could not talk due to his dementia so he was very confused which they were told before he was booked in they tried to ask him questions which he could not understand or answer his wife was very upset about the whole experience and to top it all the manager then said I don’t know how you cope they were aware of his condition his and surely they would have expected a reaction of frustration even though he was not aggressive just shouted for a couple of minutes the stress was terrible we were in and out in less than 30 minutes I don’t know what sort of people they can be looking after but a lesson they should Learn is to do a home visit before booking a client in it is a very hard decision to have to make for your loved ones in the first place.

A CQC rating of 'Good' does not begin to describe the richness of the Marian House offering which is both highly professional & deeply caring. From the moment I visited the establishment, I was captivated by its warmth & humanity. My mother was still wary of giving up independent living when she moved here at the age of 99 - she soon wished that she'd done so a lot earlier !
