Today I was waiting in A&E with severe back pain and pains in my leg. Also a cyst under my eye. After 3 hours of waiting a doctor finaly examined me...Well she didn't even put a finger on me and decided to send me home, with some pain meds. No tests, no scans, nothing!!! When I asked to examine my the cust under my eye she said 'looks like a spot' ...Didn't even touch it, she made a diagnosis from a meter away, same with my back. As an NHS staff my self, I found that embarrassing!

Professional and calm approach from nurses and doctors. I had a non emergency but potentially serious a medical condition when neglected. I was told to prepare for 1 to 4 hour wait at the reception but eventually I was dealt with within 90min and referred to take further medical theexams the very next day. The treatment of patients was well organised. Positive experience. Most importantly I really felt taken care of. Thank you.

Bad experience wait for people to die ans then give health make you wait for so many hours and don't care about you. Staff laugh at you when in dying state. Hospital are meant to save you and make you better but this place does not help and make you suffer till death. Extremely bad experience every time

How can this be the emergency? Clearly if you have any emergency they will let you suffer without caring. I came for a horrible back pain that was intensified with a fall. I was first sent to minor injuries service and waited for 2 hours. I was then seen by someone who told me that I was the next person on the list. After that I waited an hour. Someone called me to tell me to go to A&E instead because they were too busy (the room was empty?????). There was too many people in A&E but I waited. After 2 hours I asked about the waiting and she told me that there two, three hour or to wait. So I left because the pain was too much to stay seated. Also I doubted they would help me as I talked with a lady who had glass under her skin and they told her to go home and come back tomorrow. What a shame! I don’t understand how is it possible to be so neglecting with patients.

I recently visited the Royal Berkshire Hospital Accident and Emergency Department with my child. I was very impressed with the care and attention we received from the staff. They were all very professional and caring, and they went above and beyond to help us.We were seen very quickly, and the staff took the time to understand my child's condition and explain what they were doing. They were also very patient with my child. We were discharged a few hours later, and my child was much better. I am very grateful for the care we received, and I would highly recommend the Royal Berkshire Hospital Accident and Emergency Department to anyone who needs it.I would also like to add that I am aware that the NHS is facing some challenges, but I believe that the Royal Berkshire Hospital Accident and Emergency Department is doing a great job under difficult circumstances. The staff are dedicated and hardworking, and they are always willing to go the extra mile to help their patients.

Very uncaring staffs. Even if someone is dying of blood loss they will ask you to wait till you die. You are such a big organizational don't you set priorities. And such useless staffs you operate with, just you only are putting down the NHS name. You should understand it is on our tax money you are surviving and you treat us with such rude attitude. It's seems NHS will go down soon.

Essentially been looked by a male doctor, post which he assigned a female doctor. No one came for 45 mins.Enquired with staff and they essentially just said yeah wait with a shrug of a shoulder, so cold!Waiting an hour, approached again, the doctor helself came, without looking at me she said there are two patients. Took another 30 minutes. When she arrived she literally spent 5 minutes, that’s it.The called for x ray and the lady took another patent and made us wait! This is probably one of the most unprofessional hospital! The staff don’t care about patients at all! I think this entire institution needs to be reviewed!

Absolutely disgraceful.Waited 7 hours for a blood tests, on their system they had me waiting for results without even taking a blood tests. Then it reached 12:30am and they announced a 6 hour wait.I had to leave.Do I have a life threatening problem? I don’t know?God help us all.

The worst health care in the whole world. Had to wait for 6hrs even though it wasn’t busy at all. Once inside the staff were having a great time chit chatting and taking things easy while us 3 patients waited for more than 6hrs.

I am writing this letter to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the level of care and professionalism I experienced during my recent visit to your emergency room on October 29, 2023. This unfortunate incident has left me deeply dissatisfied and concerned about the quality of service provided at your facility. On the evening of October 29, 2023, at approximately 8:00 PM, I sought medical attention at your emergency room due to a severe illness that has been significantly affecting my daily life. I was in distress and seeking help to address my health issues promptly. However, my experience at your facility was nothing short of disheartening. The medical staff, particularly a nurse on duty, displayed an unprofessional and disrespectful attitude. I was shocked by the nurse's inappropriate behavior, as she not only failed to conduct a thorough examination but also exhibited an unfounded animosity towards me. Her demeanor was both unkind and unbecoming of a medical professional, and it was evident that she was not treating me with the care and respect that any patient deserves.Furthermore, the nurse informed me that she had booked an appointment for me with a GP at Broad Mall. Trusting her word, I diligently followed her instructions and arrived at the GP's office the following day. To my utter dismay, the receptionist at the GP's office informed me that there was no appointment scheduled for me. This misinformation caused me significant inconvenience and a wasted trip.I must emphasize my profound disappointment in the care provided at your facility and the unprofessional conduct of your staff. Patients who seek medical assistance during emergencies are vulnerable and in need of urgent care, and it is vital that they are treated with the utmost compassion and respect.I sincerely hope that this complaint serves as an opportunity for your institution to reflect on the standard of care you offer and to address the unprofessional behavior exhibited by your staff. I expect a thorough investigation into this matter and appropriate action taken to ensure that such incidents do not reoccur, thus upholding the dignity and respect patients deserve.I trust that you will take this matter seriously and act promptly to rectify the situation. If necessary, I am willing to provide any additional information to assist in the investigation of this incident.Yours sincerely,Talip Yaldaz
