Two stars for the effort. However, we know that cost of living is increasing, but the prices here are astronomical. It is ludicrous that one has to pay £2 for two small cob lettuces for example. Thing is farm shops used to be able to charge this if they were the local option, and saved people a significant trip into a supermarket, however this doesn’t really cater for a community as such and just serves the purpose of people who have forgotten something on way back from the many cheaper food outlets nearby. They have a reward system that gives one a measly £10 after spending a massive £300!! They obviously make a lot of money so how about giving something back to the shoppers in these more difficult times. I expect there to be further price increases as the year progresses, I also expect there will be a tipping point where the loyal and slightly wealthier customer may even start to raise an eyebrow.

Ok a little expensive. Tea and coffee weak and the antiques shop was closed.

Drove 1hr 20 back from this nice looking farm shop today to find the £3.20 jar of pasta sauce we bought was extremely mouldy. Luckily we have a Tesco brand pasta sauce in the cupboard so dinner isn’t ruined. Staff were lovely but doesn’t make up for mouldy products.

After reading reviews I thought would give this place a go. We travelled over 40 mins. On arrival was not bowled over. The cafe was fine but not a great choice for lunch just the basic. Couldn't order breakfast as arrived after 11 even though it didn't open until 10 today. The farm shop was just so. Had a selection of basics but very pricey. Selection of fresh produce was so so. Was hoping for more plants but not much to choose from. With our economy at the moment I couldn't justify paying eg £10 for local honey or £3.99 for 1 goose egg. Given bit a try but sorry won't be going back.

I used to come to this shop a lot with my grandparents when I was a younger child and I always enjoyed my trip there. However, my most recent trip there was tainted due to the fact one of the members off staff seemed to be checking if I was stealing anything. I felt very uncomfortable and went to pay, both the staff at the till didn’t seem like they wanted to serve me and spoke the bare minimal with no customer service. As I walked out after spending around £14, I smiled politely at the older woman who looked at me and completely ignored me. I know I’m 20 years old and I was wearing a black tracksuit but is that really enough means to follow someone round the shop and give purposely bad customer service? Won’t be returning. I’ve been to many farm shops with excellent customer service, I recommend Hollingsworth in Chelmondiston

Fabulous place. Lots of good food and a small but deliciously well chosen wine selection. 100% recommend.
