Spread It Plastering LTD

I had 3 artex ceilings, wanted to get the artex removed.Chris did a fantastic job.Fairly priced and really good quality plastering as you can see.

Not sure if they are still running as they were as all good reviews are from three years ago. They did not make their appointment which I made by form 2 weeks in advance. I only found out as chased repeatedly for a confirmation as had rearranged my work schedule so I would be I. They then didn't answer any phone calls or texts. Not sure what is happening but communication is key and if they are still trading something has gone awry. Their website is still up but no message as to why they have halted trading and if it is permanent.

Left splashed plaster all over the walls, door and edges of the coving.Ended up wasting more than an hour of my time cleaning and chipping it all off.One day I'll find a plaster who is good enough to clean behind themselves.Only positives. They were swift to get a quote together and book in/do the work.The actual finish on the ceiling was smooth though. Won't use again based on the mess.

Not used him as he wasn’t keen to drive the 4 miles distance, a 15 minute drive at most and he wanted to know the exact size of ceiling so he could decide if it was worth his while or not - his words. Answering of phone and dealing with query was very unprofessional so I withdrew from the call. If I booked a appointment with this person I would not be confident he would even turn up!

I have moved to Leyton a few weeks ago. I was looking for a local plastering company ( as i like to support local businesses). As a women I felt a little shy calling so I emailed instead ( to my surprise a woman emailed back!) Chris came over to give me a good quote, I asked my brother who's a electrician to ask his mate whether I have been given a good price. And even he was shocked at how decent it was. So I went ahead and booked in the work. Everything then on was arranged through email so I had all correspondence of agreed prices, materials and the amount of time it would take. Which was great in case anything went wrong- as i always worry. I was put at ease at the end of the first day when the WHOLE hallway was completed! Look at my shiny walls!!!! You can see the reflection of the door, I have never been more impressed. Seriously, it's so nice to find a genuine plastering company in East London. 100%%%%%%

I feel like this plasterer took me for ride as he knew I was not knowledgeable about the plastering process. Will not be using again.Left PVA glue splashes all over the wall (see photo below, just a small sample of the glue which completely covers our walls!) which has ended up being a huge pain & cost rectifying. This is due to the plasterer doing the ceiling after the walls - I felt misinformed as to the cons of doing the plastering this way round, and wish the plasterer has pressed to have the ceiling done first. As he should have known, we are not tradesmen and therefore not knowledgeable about best practises in plastering - something I'd have expected a plasterer to have brought up and explained thoroughly. After I pointed out there was PVA glue everywhere, he said it would be fine once painted over. It was not, as PVA streaks showed through and the mist coat did not adhere. There were also lumps of PVA on the wall so a paint job would have never covered it.The finish is generally smooth. There were some areas missed (such as criss cross tape holding the cracks together) which the plasterer said we should fix with polyfiller rather him making good himself. The thin area around the window he claimed he couldn't get in with his tools so he left it - there were holes and cracks in the previous render there and I feel like this may have been laziness on the part of the plasterer.We really wanted to trust and use this plasterer in future, but I am afraid we cannot recommend him after all this. If you are thinking of using him, note many of the positive reviews on Google are from many years back.

I only have positive comments to make about Chris, he was absolutely amazing. Very professional, arrived on time everyday and left hardly any mess. If you are looking for a good quality, reliable plasterer I would definitely recommend him.

Sorry for the late review guys. Chris plastered my new house a few weeks ago and did a great job. He was very professional but we also had a laugh which was nice. Honestly if you need a plasterer call these guys you wont have any issues. Everything was organised and explained. I've managed to get the living room painted and this is how fantastic it looks :
