Lovely little spot with tasty food and friendly service. They were happy to split a sandwich over two plates for us, which was really nice too! They also do lovely smoothies.

Gluten free options available. We ordered two Buckwheat Crepes which were absolutely delicious and the fillings were quite original (homemade coconut rice pudding a dream!) This cafe is in a beautiful setting with a lovely back story to the name, appropriate for Grasmere.We were served quickly. Decor is fresh, clean and modern, jugs of tap water available if you need it, and crockery unchipped and unstained. A winner.Toilets also well kept and clean with lovely local toiletries if that's what you're looking for in a cafe.

Really nice coffee and very friendly staff. I visited here 3 times when I was staying in Grasmere and, having been to the other cafes in the village, can safely say this one does the best coffee.The sun terrace is to die for and sitting out here on a day like this is what I imagine heaven to be like.10/10 a must visit.

Generally friendly staff but service was very slow. We only had cake and tea and it was approximately 40 minutes before our order came to the table. The cheesecake and lemon cake were mediocre. The carrot cake was great.

Absolutely Amazing pancakes! Cakes can be slightly hit and miss, don't recommend the carrot cake but the chocolate fudge is great! Well worth the price as you get huge portion and very friendly staff, great place to go after a long walk to refuel, it's dog friendly too! Also noticed the had things to keep the children busy which is a great idea. We will definitely be returning in the summer

Lovely little deli cafe, menu is really lovely we only had drinks but the food looked and smelt amazing. Staff were friendly and it’s also dog friendly which is lovely. The decor is so fresh and it’s a nice atmosphere we stayed here longer than usual at a cafe, good people watching spot in Ambleside. Highly recommend the festive toffee nut latte.
