Top professional treatment for my acl and meniscus injury. Highly recommend. Dr. Barkatali always made me feel comfortable and his wealth of knowledge and ground breaking Quadriceps tendon graft has worked brilliantly for me. He is certainly an expert of the knee and can’t thank him enough for his continued patience, understanding, and commitment.

I had snapped my ACL, bucket handle tear of my meniscus and tore my anterolateral ligament. Dr Barkatali done my surgery where he repaired all three and 6 months later I’m back running and riding my knee is feeling good and stable. He managed to save my meniscus and used my quad tendon for the graft.

Mr Barkatali has recently looked after me with knee surgery through a very challenging time, as I am scared of needles and surgery. His calming presence from the offset gave me confidence in his ability to get me through this time. The surgery was very complicated due to the level of damage I had put my knee through, However with Mr Barkatali's excellent knowledge and experience I am on the road to a full recovery. Amazing surgeon. Fantastic person, friendly, caring, no questions or concerns were ignored or too much trouble. I was kept I formed and shown exactly what to expect through the whole process and was involved in deciding which surgical option was best for me. Would strongly recommend Mr Barkatali should you need an orthopedic surgeon. I hope my future surgeries can be performed by him. Many thanks and hopefully I'll get a good many years of activity on my knee before I am forced to go ahead with a full replacement.

Absolutely first class care and treatment by Mr Barkatall and his team, he was reassuring and explained everything in detail, I was really nervous about the operation but it went well and I have recovered extremely well thank you so much, hope to be back running in another 6 weeks starting very slowly.

I cannot compliment Mr Barkatali, nor the amazing work he does enough. From start to finish of my TKR journey he has been thoroughly engaging, understanding and compassionate. I'm rather squeamish to say the least , and to be able to put every ounce of confidence in someone medically, is extremely important to me, without all the details!. This was gained within my very first appointment. And I cant thank him enough for that. 7 weeks later, and I'm very optimistic that my recovery will continue to have a great outcome. Mr Barkatali is a breath of fresh air and has a very charismatic approach…After unexplainable knee pain for years and no resolve with physio. He suggested a scan as the logical option, I was particularly concerned when nothing showed up on the scan! Many others would have discharged me but we had a long and unrushed conversation and a date was agreed for a key hole surgical survey. At this point a meniscus was found to be damaged and repaired and a plica was also removed! I’m 7 weeks post surgery, while there’s still a way to go with recovery and pain management Mr Barkatali said I will be able to start jogging in about 5 weeks! I’m delighted and just need to keep on top of the physio in the meantime. If I had any more knee issues or friends or family I would absolutely have to insist they only see Mr Barkatali.I have had numerous orthopaedic issues over the years with wrist and shoulder and just wish everyone would have been as helpful, proactive and approachable as Mr Barkatali.My only regret is not turning up with a thank you gift !!

From the initial consultation to the final post-op physiotherapy session I have had nothing but excellent care from the team at the Knee Clinic.
