Worst customer service ever recieved. The assistant manager was rude and disrespectful. Car booked via halfords telephone line. Quoted a price for the work and agreed. Dropped car off for the work and advised I pay after the work is completed. Work completed, no issues with the work. Come to pay and advised that I was given a wrong quote price on the telephone a day before and in fact I had to pay a higher price. They confirmed the quote I was given was incorrect....only £30 difference... however advised unless I pay the new price, they would not release my vehicle. I asked them kindly to review this and was advised the branch manager had reviewed this on the day the quote came through, the day before and stated he would not complete the work at the price quoted and intended to charge me the price they wanted. No telephone call to apologise for the wrong quote, no communication at all. When I questioned this, the assistant manager stated this was not her job and could not resolve the matter and the branch manager had left for the day. It was exacly the same work carried out.I was advised I had to pay the price they wanted and to raise a complaint with Halfords online, trust me I have done. Yet to be resolved. Absolutely shocked, this happened in front of other customers which was awful! Other customers stood and agreed with me yet the assistant manager, simply refused and continued to say I would not get my vehicle back until the next day when the branch manager was back. How it this acceptable? Imagine if this was a family member or elderly relative.I continued to offer to pay the quoted price, however was simply advised, again they would be keeping my vehicle until I pay the price they wanted. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I got very bad experience with Halfords Autocentre today and I don't recommend it for anyone at any price.The team isn't experienced.They don't know how to set the oil change schedule for 2 years in my Volkswagen car.The reception lady is very rude and not talking nicely to the customers.Whenever I argue with them about something, they gave different answers every time and I started not to trust them.I checked my service list and found that brake fluid isn't changed and long life oil isn't used. When I asked them why they didn't do that, they simply tick it for me on the list and said we did it already. I don't trust them at all and will not deal with them again.

My back wiper blade arm was broken and I had been having trouble finding somewhere that would be able to fix it without 3/4 week wait.The service from Halfords Autocentre in Gloucester was fantastic from start to finish. The lady on the desk was so helpful and accommodating and was able to order the part and get it fitted on the same day!I was so happy and grateful that it could be done so quickly and with such good service!! Thank you!

Booked 4 wheel alignment and at the time of booking told they would only be able to adjust the front wheels but that did not matter as you cannot adjust the rears on my car. Report then showed rear needs adjusting and discovered you can in fact adjust so now have to pay again and get someone else to fix. Actual work done fine and staff lovely but useless advice. If had known this at point of booking would have just gone elsewhere. Instead now lumbered with an uncessary bill to basically do the whole thing again. Based on this recommend you go elsewhere where you will receive the right advice and guidance, saving you time and money.

Very helpful staff.I had my brake pads replaced today under brake for life scheme. There were minor issues with locating the record in the beginning but after calling head office, we got it sorted and got my pads fixed for free.The gentleman at the reception was very friendly and willing to help.Much better experience today at Eastern Avn compared to my previous visits to Halford.

Nice guy fixed my light bulbs,told me my windscreen wipers were not correct and he was really quick too.

They don't do MOT retests on the same day. Unless you've got a lot of free time, very inconvenient.

Online booking made it easy to book a slot, got notification ect. Only slight downside was it took 6 hours to do a wheel alignment. I dropped it off and left it as I wasn't in a rush but felt like they left my car for the end of the day when I was early dropping it off. Otherwise fair price and good service.
