I recently contacted Wards in Deal regarding a valuation of my property for Probate requirements. I was met by their representative Will Sargeant who came to the house & carried out a thorough investigation. I was particularly impressed by his professionalism & the trouble taken in assessing the value. He brought with him details of local houses that had sold in the vicinity of different types but of similar size. He had a wide knowledge of the area & with the aid of these explained how he had arrived at the value of my cottage. I would therefore have no hesitation in recommending Wards to future buyers & sellers.

Be very careful buying through Wards Deal. Be VERY careful indeed…In my painful and costly experience you should run a mile before trusting them whether you’re buying of selling!Lauren will make all sorts of promises about the sellers position to sell (a vacant property in my case) but the moment your offer is accepted all interest in you is lost; calls go unanswered, voice messages are ignored and emails are never responded to. Lauren vanishes.Suddenly you start receiving calls from someone called Amanda. Nice enough but she has no idea about the property or situation and her emails are full of spelling and grammar errors that you need to interpret. You have to train Ananda and then her job is to chase you to spend money; she never has any information of her own to share with you.Amanda is endlessly on holiday and thinks CRM is her job rather than doing her job so you’re left with no one in Wards to talk to. Then months into the process, long after Amanda lost interest and only a matter of days before Exchange with possessions packed up and £1,000s in sunk costs you suddenly discover what Lauren told you at the start of the process wasn’t true. It was all lies. Amanda knew the truth but she didn’t share. Try contacting Lauren? Pointless!Lauren doesn’t even respond when you enquire about other properties you’d like to view.If you’re a seller then you need to understand there are cash buyers out there wanting to view your property that Wards won’t respond to.Buy or sell through Wards BUT at your financial and personal risk! Frankly I recommend you run as fast as you can away from them…—-Response to Wards; Rubbish. You know exactly who I am!

I am searching for a nice property in deal and travelled down there from London yesterday to have a good look around. While there, I popped into the Deal agent yesterday, off the cuff and without an appointment.Joe Higgs was most welcoming and very helpful and having run a company for over 25 years, I was very impressed indeed by Joe's great customer service skills, combined with his extensive knowledge of the property scene in Deal.I would not hesitate to recommend both this agency and particularly Joe, to anyone who is thinking of buying a property in Deal.Thank you very much Joe!
