The doctors here have been absolutely amazing. Great listeners, empathetic, holistic too not just medical viewpoint. Reception staff helpful to assist with checking in. Have investigated and resolved an issue that's been bothering me for over a decade. Wish I'd registered here earlier! Fairly easy to get an appointment, you just have to be swift at 8am but it's like that everywhere. Overall super happy.

when i first went they was great but now I don't feel like I am listened to. I have mental health problems and so i find it hard to sleep/ get up in the morning and for the past year due to the pendemic made it super impossible to talk to the doctors about my mental health because you have to call at 8am in morning for the day but they pretty much all gone by 8:30 they are so bad that even one of the doctors say my mental health isn't that bad even though they know i have a history of sucidal thoughts and a history of self harming

have had no problems.They have messed up my proscriptions once but receptionist always sort and got doctor straight away. Lovely ladies at reception.Easy online system to book, view or order repeats.It is easier if u turn up at the door at half 8 but whenever i rang i managed to get an appointment. Overall very happyMuch better than where i was before.

Drs/nurses are mostly friendly and caring. Reception staff varies, there's a couple that could do with going on a customer service course. The major irritation with this surgery is getting an appointment; over the years they've made improvements with a telephone queuing system but you can still queue for 15 mins when they open to get through to be told to try again tomorrow" as no appointments left. Can't even book for tomorrow

Can never get through, when you do all apps have gone. Can only book 3 weeks in advance. Terrible for trans patients - uses outdated and offensive language and has no clue what to do to help. Has caused me severe mental health issues and no end of problems because they refused to listen to me and decided to ignore my pleas for referrals in case it somehow got them in trouble (literally told me we can’t send you there, they might shout at us, when I finally got a referral I was told I could have been seen any time and not been made to suffer for the 2 years it took to get the referral). Only liked one GP at this practice but they haven’t been there for well over a year so I’ve moved practices and good riddance.

Constantly told to call at 8am for an appointment. Impossible to get through until 8.45am by which time all appointments are gone. A highly unsatisfactory and frustrating system. I've been with this practice for many years - but in the last 2 years it's become far too stressful to deal with them. Will look for another surgery.

My husband and I changed to this practice about a year ago and so glad we did. So happy with the service we receive. The receptionists are warm and welcoming, very helpful, doctors actually listen to you and discuss treatments, nurses very kind and sympathetic. Flu clinic and Covid vaccinations extremely well organised.Well done !Martin and Elise Crowther.

Trying to get a booking is a shambles. Need to modernise their system and come into the 21st century. Not had this issue at other places I've lived.Stampedes of people calling in at 8am to get a booking as this is the only way Charnock allow you to book, to get through at 8:04 to be told they're fully booked for the day.15 minute appointment slots, open 8:30am - 6pm, their website states 2 doctors (3 on Fridays). Giving an hours break per doctor gives you 34 appointments per day per doctor.... saving some for emergencies I can't see them booking ~60 appointments in less than 4 minutes (that's one appointment booked every 4 seconds, via telephone only...)Why do you lie?

Left feeling disappointed over and over again at this GP practise. I understand fully the pandemic has hit a lot of people very hard but we are now adapting to it and the staff at this GP still cant book their patients such as myself for the right blood test all the way at the northern general hospital, which meant I had a wasted journey and a lot of unneeded stress. It is extremely hard to get booked in at this GP as you can only ring up at 8am MON-FRI for an appointment. The receptionists are very hit and miss, some very nice and some can be quite rude and very unhelpful. Hopefully this will get sorted out.
