Artemis and The Mermaid

A wonderful little gem we found whilst meandering around Whitby. We were looking for shops a little more alternative than a lot of the places you find in the little seaside towns, and this is perfect. I picked up a lovely new tarot deck and my partner got some bits and pieces and a new necklace. Fair prices and the lady in the shop was so friendly and lovely. Would definitely visit again!

Absolutey amazing customer service from Hannah at Artemis and The Mermaid. I was looking for a very particular type of earring for a friend, a drop earring with Malachite stones, but there weren't any in the shop. So Hannah brought out a box of stones and made up a beautiful pair for me which were extremely reasonably priced. I cannot thank her enough!

First of all, any shop that is dog friendly is ace in my book. Was drawn in by the mention of oracle cards and crystals and was pleasantly surprised to find a crystal shop on the island that isn’t just filled with mass produced plastic dragon figurines. From the hand-crocheted items, artisan jewellery, and slightly spooky accoutrements I ended up buying £20 in jewellery and small holiday gifts. Proprietor is amazing-she will attach beads to jump rings or chains for you right then and there. Love this place and will definitely be back!

At last. A shop that sells Charms and beads you can look at. I am not a fan of buying beads and charms on the internet. I would rather pick them up and see them for the quality. Excellent shop and also some nice homemade Broaches and Jewellery. Brilliant staff.
