I’m actually still in shock at my experience with Spa Breaks. Strap in folks, it just keeps getting worse.I purchased an overnight spa break with treatments. I received the confirmation email, noticing the treatments were booked for a different day. I called the spa to enquire, their receptionist told me that they automatically scheduled us in for the next day, because the spa was fully booked on the day I booked. We were not available the next day as we were celebrating a graduation, so they told me that I had to contact Spa breaks to cancel the booking. When I contacted spabreaks, they told me that it was actually the spa that was responsible for cancelling bookings. So I called the spa back.I then spent 2 DAYS being bounced back and forth between spa breaks and the spa because each party kept telling me conflicting information. Then, Spa breaks customer service agent told me that the hotel had agreed to cancel the stay, and she was waiting for the spa to respond RE the treatments. I also called the hotel and they confirmed they were happy to cancel the overnight stay. Then, I spoke to the spa manager who told me she was refusing to cancel anything because I was now within their cancellation policy and I was charged the full £236 for not showing up!I sent an email to their customer relations. They responded TWO WEEKS later, claiming it was in their T&Cs that treatments can be scheduled the next day for overnight stays. Now, I knew for a fact that it wasn’t. I read every line and took screenshots of their entire T&Cs and booking process available on their website. They spent those 2 weeks editing their website and conditions before they replied to me! Very diabolical.I replied with the screenshots I had retained with date and time stamps, highlighting where they changed their T&Cs, along with all of my phone records showing how many times I called both Spa breaks and the spa trying to get a refund. Still to be rejected. They did not, at any point, offer me an alternative solution. Had they offered credit, to reschedule to a different spa, or a different date, I would have probably agreed. They offered no apologies, they did not even take responsibility.I’m shocked at the atrocious customer service, I’m shocked that they actually changed their T&Cs just to avoid giving me a refund, I’m shocked at their dishonesty. I’m shocked at their greed and lack of care for a customer.I will be escalating this matter as far as I can. I will not let you just take £236 from me without defending myself. My advice to everyone is to stay FAR away. Book with your venues directly. Save yourself.

Had a fabulous day, thank you! Easy to find with a lovely welcome! Beautiful spa, the grounds would perfect for weddings. A great restaurant and coffee available in spa area! Lovely pool and sauna! Helpful staff. Brilliant massage, one of the best I have had! Laura

Do not use this company if you have any kind of disability or additional needs. I booked using a Xmas present voucher from my son. Before I confirmed the booking I emailed spabreaks asking questions about accessibility to the hotel, spa etc. I was very clear about my access needs and was reassured it was all fine, but when I arrived at Guildford Manor Hotel and Spa I was met with a large number of steps at the entrance. I use a walker and whilst I can climb stairs it is very painful for me. The situation got worse when I realised there were steps down to the spa and pool, stairs up to the treatment rooms and a horrendous number of steps to the outside jacuzzi. I was offered help at the hotel to carry the walker but that meant having to go find someone every time I wanted to move, who wants to do that and why should I be treated differently because the hotel was inaccessible. I contacted SpaBreaks and have been offered a £40 voucher to spend on another break - why would I do that when I've just spent £200 and been badly let down. The response from both SpaBreaks and the hotel has made me feel it's my fault for being disabled and I'm left really upset by the whole experience. Providing a ground floor room does not make a place accessible so please beware.Re reply from SpaBreaks: the point is you should never have let me book this venue, knowing about the stairs etc, surely you would know it was not a suitable place for your company to recommend in the first place. Your company information says you visit venues so if this is the case why would you think it was suitable for a disabled person. Your not interested in helping me at all.

If I could rate them 0 stars I would, my partner and I were celebrating our pregnancy and drove 8 hrs to a hotel that had no record of us staying there, after calling spabreaks it was found that it was a mistake on their part. They ended up moving us to a different hotel which was another hour away (at this point we were sick of driving). This hotel was horrible and we left a day early to go home it was that bad. Then to top it off I wasn’t allowed my spa treatment that I was looking forward to because I was 3 months pregnant, no where when I signed up did spabreaks ask me the questions they should’ve before taking my money. I had no idea being pregnant would stop me being allowed a massage. I ended up having none of my treatments. Terrible terrible website, DO NOT USE.

Have bought a voucher with these guys back in 2022. I understand that the package I chose is now a void package, these people do not offer refund and it's written in their policy in small print (conveniently). The original package was for two individuals now they are telling me that the venue has changed their prices since, and that the voucher is unusable and that I have a credit note of £70 which btw I should be happy about (not). They say that I cannot make the spa for two people now and mix match information as they please. Probably never ever gonna purchase from them again cause a lot of their information are false and make their customers doubtful.

Booked through spabreaks for a stay at South lodge, the sale agent was lovely and helpful as I was a bit indecisive or where to go, however the agent recommend South lodge and we had a fantastic time.

A really disappointing and stressful experience. Spa breaks will charge you more than going direct (£156 compared with £150 to go direct to the spa I booked) you also get a big down grade on customer service as you can’t any longer contact the spa directly for help with your booking, you have to contact spa breaks and wait days for them to get in touch with the spa and get back to you. I chased them for nearly a week to get a simple change to the booking that although the spa authorised spa breaks could not seem to make. Completely messed me around and I got nowhere despite many many emails and callsThanks

The packages they offer are better than going direct and as the hotel then confirms directly to you, it is clear that the booking is secure. The customer services team are so helpful and I would definitely recommend this company.
