The staff are clueless the one with glass's seems like he is on drugs, I got my oil boiler from them and they sent the wrong one took me a whole day to get them to order me the right one which was delivered a week later, I would suggest going elsewhere as bassets cost more on most there products anyway.

Very pleasant exoerience today at this store. I couldn't find waste pipes at either McBlairs or JP Corrys (both great stores too) so came here. The man who served me was corteous, knowledgeable and within minutes had exactly what I want 15m of soil pipe, bends and connectors. Helped me to the car with them.Top marks for service and would defintely use them again.

Update December 2023:Updating my review because after 4 months of light use (one person, adult only household), the metal on the toilet chain is so soft that it has bent and cracks have started appearing in the bath panel. I visited the showroom on 23rd October to report the issue aland request replacements be provided and fitted free of charge. ( Photos were also provided as evidence ). By 10th November, I had no communication from Gareth to say what the outcome of the conversations were with the reps so emailed for an update. No reply. I emailed for a third time on 15th November, gave a deadline for replying and asked about the formal complaints procedure. I got a reply on 17th November which was basically the standard 'big business' tactics of blaming someone else, in this case, the plumber claiming he hadn't fitted part of the bath panel. As I didn't have a skip and took everything to the dump myself, I know that every supplied was used. I also know that Bassets failed to supply a lot of items ordered (toilet pedestal but no cister or seat, hand basin but no pedestal) and had to be chased so, if someone wasn't fitted, most likely they forgot to deliver it. On the 20th November, Bassets suggested a site visit which I immediately agreed to (I replied to the email the same day). However, I had still not been given a date for the site visit on 27th November so emailed again. On the 3rd December, I still haven't received a reply. A month after reporting the problem and, the issue remains unresolved.So, it appears that no lessons have been learnt regarding customer service and communication. In addition, the quality of the bathrooms are very poor and unable to withstand 4 months of light use. I thoroughly regret ordering my bathroom from Bassets and wouldn't use them again and wouldn't recommend them unless enjoy unnecessarily complicated project management opportunities and expensive, poor quality bathrooms.Original review written July 2023:Friendly staff, good selection of good quality bathrooms and they worked with me to stay in budget. However, they appear to be understaffed leading to substandard customer care.The communication is very poor with the onus on the customer to chase answers. If you email with questions, you often don't get a response. If you phone, the person you speak with is unlikely to be the person dealing with your order so they won't know the answer. If you turn up, you'll find yourself part of a queue of people (similarly chasing answers) and have to wait half an hour to answer a 2 minute question.There were also issues with timely delivery. I paid for the bathroom in full on 29th March. I was told that nothing had a long lead time so there should be no issue with delivering on 21st April for work to commence on 24th April. However, only half the sink (basin but not the pedestal) and half the toilet (seat, no cistern) was delivered. I was informed about part of the sink being missing but not the toilet. This was discovered by the plumber. Whilst it didn't slow down the fitting of the bathroom (primarily due to unreliable tradespeople), it made the plumber's job challenging as he had to contact the manufacturer to get the specifications so he would know where to put pipes which, ultimately, is time I will be invoiced for despite it being due to Bassetts' mistake. After 2 weeks, there had been no proactive communication from Bassetts regarding the missing items (had they arrived? when would they be delivered?) and no apology for the mistake so, again, it was down to me to chase them.Overall, a very mixed experience.Am I happy with my bathroom? Yes.Would I shop with Bassetts again?No, I had 'shopped around' prior to ordering so I know I can get the same quality and price elsewhere with better customer care. I only ordered from Bassett's as they were local so I thought they would be easier to deal with them in the long run.Would I recommend Bassetts? No.
