Turmeaus Cigars & Tobacco

I truly would give this shop a 5 star the young lad who works there is absolutely fantastic the woman in her 50s brown hair fantastic couldn't fault them what so ever 5 star service. But the younger female I think she's from Liverpool possible what a disgraceful attitude and lack of interest towards customers truly poor customer service just a bad unwelcoming misery she was. Never again will I step into this shop if she's there. Such a shame that one misery guts can ruin an amazing shop like this.

This used to be a great place, especially when the sampling lounge was created. Now of course Covid changed many things, so what was the lounge is now an extension of the whisky shop. Any sampling is done near the bar in a dark corner next to the toilet.The staff are ok, however I visited quite recently, and the younger girl, who has already been mentioned in soneone else's review, also greeted me very rudely.Callumn who is now the manager used to be very accommodating, but since becoming manager, some of his frienliness has gone. I get that he now has lot more responsibility, but the whole place feels so rushed and it's go in, spend money quickly and get the hell out.Too much focus on the whisky now than cigars, which is fine, so maybe stop being a cigar store as well,, or completely separate them both. Such a shame it's become what it has.

This shop has a very wide range of tobacco products, personally I stopped by for some cigars on my way to an event. There was a wide selection of both Cuban and New World cigars so there's something for everyone. The prices on the stuff I bought matched the online prices but cannot speak for every product. Cigars are packed with a boveda which was helpful. Callum (I think that was their name) was an excellent member of staff who made the visit much more enjoyable. They were very knowledgeable and were not pushy with their advice. I'm not local so I won't be able to visit often but if you're from the area this shop is a worthwhile visit.

I have visited Turmeaus in Chester multiple times and intend to return many more times. The service and hospitality you receive is top-class. All the staff are incredibly knowledgeable with the highest level of service and always have a great conversation with any of the team, making you feel very welcome. I don't know of any other tobacconist with a comparable range of New World and Cuban cigars, not to mention the spirit selection; you can try something new every time. Highly recommend!!

Great shop my first time visiting , Calum was extremely helpful picking out some holiday cigars for my trip to Mexico . Now have a nice range from Cubans to Honduran to enjoy relaxing in sunny Mexico.

Great shop but a shame it’s not as big as it used to be and the selection of whisky seems to have decreased because of this, some of the staff could be more friendly, thankfully there was a lovely lady who i never caught the name of who was more than helpful and happy to have a chat

Absolutely fabulous cigar and whisky shop! Superb selection of both Cuban and New World Cigars all kept in perfect condition.They also have a good tasting lounge for Cuban Cigars 12 seats, also bar area for tasting new world cigars.The staff are very friendly and knowledgable.When I’m in Chester I always pop in to stock up on some fine cigars and also sample a Cuban in there tasting lounge.You won’t be disappointed in this place.They also have cigar shops/lounge in Knutsford, Liverpool, London. (I also think Norfolk)

We went there as it's a Whisky shop too, various unknown brands and also the McCallum one for £8000!!Brilliant service, tastes given and explanation of how it's formed and put together, like a little tour of your taste buds!! Highly recommended!

Met this salesman who goes by Peter, lovely lad. Took his time to educate me about cigars and kept the transaction very light and entertaining. I’m new to cigars, so he also recommended what would be a perfect match for my budget. Would definitely recommend visiting. Will definitely visit again!
