Clarksons

We stumbled upon this gem of a store randomly. We left with a beautiful suit and sports coat. Unfortunately, we weren't thinking and didn't get the tie that the suit was paired with. A month or so later, after we returned to the states, I called and spoke with the absolutely amazing Zoe. She sent us pictures of a variety of options that would work beautifully with our purchases. We decided on 3 ties. The shipping was reasonable and lightening fast. We received them exactly 1 week after placing the order. I can't recommend this place enough. Everything from the quality of the clothes to the professionalism of each person who helped us made this experience top notch.

Great shop with designer and traditional clothing

Bought a shirt in their sale which was on display, packaged in the shop window. I asked if it was long or short sleeved as I wanted a long sleeved shirt. Packaged up, charged and I left it in the package until I got home, 200 miles away. Its a short sleeved shirt. Never wear them. Did contact the shop no response.

Purchased a pair of brown Derby shoes from here. Great price, high quality, excellent service. Will be certain to stop by here when I'm next in York.

Having recently gotten married I feel I really should leave a review and bought my suit from here.When I was looking for my suit being a tall gentleman I do find it quite challenging to get one off the rack" as they say. We were walking around upstairs when the owner (which at the time I didn't know) approached us asking if I was looking for a suit and then immediately gave my jacket measurements without using his tape. This in my opinion is a proper tailor.Nothing was too much trouble. The size of the trousers were a tad big as was the waistcoat so these were properly measured to be sent away for alterations. I also had a pair of trousers tailored into shorts too.Thanks again for giving me such fantastic service."

My wife and I visited Clarksons as we were in York for a visit, what a shop, the owner was there too and could not be more helpful, this shop demonstrates the art of enjoyable shopping as the service you receive makes you feel like royalty. If you haven’t had the pleasure, make a point of visiting and enjoying the experience.

This is a great gentleman's outfitter who also has ladies items. They are a York institution whose staff are very helpful, the clothes are of good quality and many are reasonably priced.

Absolutely fantastic service. Wonderful gentlemen, extremely helpful and left with a suit that was perfect. Highly recommend this wonderful shop. Thank you very much for all your help.
