Fisherman's Car Park
Used to be free, now extortionate. Why are charges so high? It takes an hour to do a return walk to the town centre from here without spending time in the actual town. No wonder it's now empty on what was a wonderful sunny day. I used to offset the cost of parking in the town centre with a walk into the town along the river here with my dog. Place used to be buzzing with swimmers, paddleboarders and canoes and I used to feel safe. Now it's just soulless. Couple who turned up at same time wanting to do 6 hour walk from here just got back in their car and left when they saw the charges and I don't blame them. Will now just add to the queues into stratford as cheaper to park in the town centre. Not exactly a bright environmental idea. Will also increase parking issues with local residences as people will park outside their houses to avoid charges. Also, why are the new signs in kilometres and not miles? Is this for the tourists that would have a hard job finding the carpark anyway as entrance is hidden from the main road. I always thought this carpark was for the benefit of the locals having to deal with tourist influx/queues in the summer. Now it will benefit no one. A tranquil thriving oasis is ruined for everyone.

Fisherman's Car Park
Free car park by the river and grassy area and saw lots of people paddle boarding or having picnics on the grass. It's approx 20 mins to walk into town with the Riverside walk which is signposted. The car park was busy but we were patient and drove round a couple of times before we got a space

Free parking, walking distance to the town... Bargain. There are two routes leading to the town, one follows the river second one goes through the fields. Both are OK and it took us around 15 minutes to reach the bridge in the town.

Fisherman's Car Park
Note: it's called The Fisherman's car park on the sign. I found this online after not wanting to pay £9 for the day at the town centre ones. Turned out far better, as not only cost saving, and loads spaces that overlook river, as long as you've got your comfy walking shoes on you will enjoy a lovely serene river walk for 15 minutes that takes you right to the centre of s.o.avon. On my way back I happened on a swan and her signets on the nest which was literally right next to me on the path! Crazy re safety, but they've made it so far..see my video (if this site allows me to upload). Shame if it doesnt. So cute!

Fisherman's Car Park
Great free car park with plenty of spaces. Lots of areas to sit on the grass for picnics, etc. Great access for the river to paddle board and kayak. Lots of walks to and from Stratford. Great car park.

Fisherman's Car Park
Great location for a long walk along the river into town. But it isn't free anymore. Pay and display so you have to guess how long you'll be. Prefer pay on exit for car parks when you have to pay so you can't get the time wrong.

Fisherman's Car Park
Great car park for access to river, don't often find places like this for free. We went on a hot Saturday so it was rammed with cars but you can still find a space if you are patient. nice space by the river in front as well for a picnic or sun bathe while watching the ducks. 15 minute walk into town so I believe it is the closest free parking to the town centre. Definitely worth saving your pennies and enjoying the scenic walk.

Fisherman's Car Park
It is not free (contrary to other reviews) but costs the same as the multistorey in town.We were going to walk along the river but the path was flooded.

Fisherman's Car Park
Difficult to rate this. It’s a lovely car park. On the river with a beautiful 20 minute walk into Stratford. Ideal to lunch a paddle board. But it’s no longer free. £8.80 a day to park. Seems pretty steep for what is typically a locals car park.
