Cornhill Castle Hotel

I was here for my daughters wedding. I can't fault the venue at all. The venue was absolutely stunning with some gorgeous scenery around it. Staff were amazing and so helpful. Food was lovely and the room we stayed in was immaculate. Bed was so comfortable I could have slept all day. I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants their special day in the one place.

We recently attended a family wedding at Cornhill Castle Hotel, and as an actual venue, it is fantastic.There were many plus points, such as the beautiful surroundings and stunning hotel building, delicious food at the wedding meal, and the wedding room itself was brilliant for the occasion. Most of the staff were lovely. The wedding was brilliant.The reason I'm giving 3/5 is because the 'lodges' we stayed in are ridiculously expensive for the size. They're absolutely tiny, almost cramped - seemed like the equivalent size to a large yurt!One or two of the bar staff at the wedding were rude.The breakfast in the morning was an absolute shambles - there was not enough food for everyone, coffee quickly ran out and the staff didn't appear to be in much of a rush to do anything about it. Several of the wedding party who had been looking forward to a nice time with friends and family the morning after were greeted by an almost empty buffet and looked bewildered. It was a disappointment.Overall this is a really lovely hotel, but don't book a lodge, and definitely don't bring a cat because there isn't enough room to swing it.

We held our son's wedding at Cornhill Castle on the 1st October and it was amazing!! Fabulous service, fantastic staff and service! A truly wonderful day!! Thank you to all at Cornhill Castle!!!

Megan just checked us in, she was the loveliest receptionist ever - we have been made to feel so welcome and she walked us to our lodge for a breakdown of everything there! Could not be happier with the service, and the lodge is beautiful too. Thank you so much!

Was at my cousins wedding the castle itself is stunning, the food was delicious the staff were lovely my only complaint is the lodge. That is not a lodge I have been in bigger sheds, definitely not enough room for more than 2 people and definitely not worth the money yous are charging for a night. I could not sleep because of the amount of spiders in the antler chandler, now before you say it's because it's out in the country surly your cleaners could take a hover to a lot of places in the hut to sort this also well overdue paint job needed in the bathroom the amount of marks on walls and door was verging on disgusting.

Can't say enough about this place it's a really stunning venue. Very accommodating in all of our discussions with them about our wedding. Noticeably more flexible than other venues we visited. The honeymoon suite is absolutely fantastic a real gem. We can't wait to get married here next year and hope the service continues to be as good.

The castle and its interior are beautiful. However 2 stars are lost to the food and service. The vegan options are limited and basic. My partner's meat dish was bland and overcooked. The staff are friendly, but the service is slow and inattentive. Had to ask for things twice. There was also a mixup where my partner observed one of our side dishes being given to another table. (In any event arriving late after we had already finished our meals and were about to cancel the dish.) The guests at the table even advised the waiter it wasn't theirs, but the waiter gave it to them anyway. Although mistakes happen, the waiter simply voided the dish from our bill without any acknowledgement to us.

Cornhill is such a beautiful venue. We have selected it for our wedding next year. The midweek packages they have are very reasonable and affordable no matter how many guests you have. The staff are so helpful and friendly and honestly can't do enough for you. The honeymoon suite is spread over 3 floors and is very lush. The grounds are expansive and amazing. Well kept and tidy. We took our family down to view the venue and had a bit of lunch while we were there and it was fantastic. We had the Chicken Goujons. These were battered and a lot bigger than we expected. They tastes amazing and it has helped us make our decision in what we will have for our buffet in the evening.
