Timpson

I went into this branch of Timpsons as I was going shopping anyway. How glad was I that I was lucky enough to use this branch! The man at the counter, Frank the Manager from his name tag, could not have done more for me if he tried. He was quite busy but was patient and understanding with each customer. I just needed a watch battery, but Frank assured me it would be done by the time I finished my shopping, and he was as good as his word. I even went for the battery for life, although a little more expensive it wasn't when he pointed out that watch batteries can sometimes only last a year. Thank you Frank and Timpsons, a man they should certainly keep hold of.

As much as getting my car key done here was going to be cheaper and more convenient than previous quotes....The stress was ridiculous !(3 attempts later)1st attempt...Wrong remote but right chip? Had my car for an hour and a half before a phone call to let me know the correct key had been ordered, it was also stated that this wasn't the workers fault, but the person on the other end of the phone that he spoke to regarding the key...Perhaps if he had spent a little more time not joking about the football teams and talking about the work he was meant to be carrying out it could of helped?2nd attempt...Right remote but wrong chip? Again, worker spoke to someone down the phone...Moaned that it was their fault?! This also meaning that my car then decided to lock me out of the ECU? One time left me stranded in Hampden Park for half an hour being given instruction over the phone on how to reset my ECU myself? Causing me to be late for work, oh and the instruction didn't work, I still ended up with an intermittently working car...And I rely on my car for transporting the man I care for.3rd attempt...Right remote and right chip? Car still switching on and cutting out after a few seconds, I had to walk over to Eastbourne Tyres and ask someone to have a look. Again more phone calls to other people and more blame shared around by the worker in Timpson.In total my car 3 times and for about 6 hours and still no key and a bigger problem than I initially went in with.The only savings grace as a 'good will gesture' the worker of Timpson footed the bill from the other place (who took 30 minutes to get the job done with no drama at all)...But other than that the stress and time out of my day(s) was completely not worth it.

I was having difficulty with a stubborn watch back removal and took the watch into the outlet at Tesco's Lotteridge Road branch where Frank works. This man is a star, always helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I am genuinely always astounded at how throughly helpful and nice all the staff are whichever branch I go in to in the East Sussex area. The customer training and staff selection are faultless with this company and there are a lot of businesses that could learn from their approach to customer service.

I needed to have two pairs of leather shoes re-healed to give them a new lease of life. I found Timpson had an outlet outside our local Tesco store and called in to find out if it was feasible?I dropped them in on the Saturday and they were ready for me to collect on the following Tuesday. They cost £21.95 each pair of shoes however, it still worked out less than new pairs! Great workmanship and high quality finish. Thank you!

Great service for dry cleaning, got milk out of my wool jacket and advised me about my curtains.

Very helpful gentlemen in the Eastbourne Tesco Timpsons today. Good advice and great service. So now have 3 new car keys with transponders - at very reasonable prices. Thank you !

I had previously experienced issues in the Guilford branch however I took the watch to mark in Eastbourne to get the battery replaced and it really was exceptional service . Replaced within 5 minutes and he was very polite and apologetic for the poor service previously experienced.Will definitely not hesitate to take my watch here fore battery replacements and repairs should they be needed in the futureThankyou very much mark !
