Vision Express Opticians - Edinburgh - Fort Kinnaird

I did not get what I wanted. I realised that my eyesight with contacts has gotten worse so I went to get new contacts of the correct power. The optician did not listen to what I wanted at all. I never wear glasses when going out and rarely use them cause i hate wearing them. I've been using contacts for more than an year. The optician insisted that I desperately needed new glasses because my vision has got so bad and now I'm stuck with an expensive pair of glasses that I won't wear. Thinking of returning them. Apparently you can't buy contacts with your eyeglass prescription so I'm planning on booking a contact lens appointment at another store where the oh so optician will actually listen to what I want and not what he wants. I went to get contacts and ended up with an unwanted pair of glasses!

It was really easy to book an appointment. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The store was well laid out and clean. Eilidh the optician was very professional and thorough. Calvin was also very efficient undertaking the tests. The process of ordering my contact lenses and setting up the direct debit was very straightforward. My lenses were delivered to my house within 48 hours. Overall an excellent service, thank you.

The worst opticians I have ever visited.I had my contact lenses health check last week by a very professional optician. I was told my prescription had changed and she would order new lenses for me to test.I visited the shop today to enquire if they had arrived. I was met by an obviously bored male shop assistant who told me my lenses hadn't arrived, without even asking my details. He clearly couldn't be bothered looking for them. Standing in front of me with his hands in his pockets. He showed absolutely no interest in my needs or customer service.

Went into the shop today to get one pair of contact lenses!!! Been at the gym and took them out had forgotten an extra pair. I couldn’t drive home. I get my glasses at Vision Express and at the last visit the lovely Optician, Sam had given me trial contacts my last visit. After explaining the situation I was given nothing by the assistant after she told me I don’t get my contact lenses from them as I get them online, don’t have her name unfortunately. I know they have many trial sets and I knew my prescription. Felt it was so mean and feel very upset about it all. Won’t be back there !!!

Brilliant service from start to finish. Listened exactly to what I wanted and did everything possible to make it happen.I'd definitely recommend this particular store and in my experience found it to be way ahead of their high Street rivals in terms of customer care.UpdateSadly after care left me very frustrated. Lenses took over 2 weeks to arrive and I had to do all the chasing. Very different experience to that during trial period. Shame.

As always a completely thorough checkup, with all the necessary tests & photos etc. I think that all the staff at Kinnaird Park premises are very helpful & pleasant. They have always picked up any problems I've had & referred me to the Eye Pavilion for further help & operations. The only downside to Vision Express is the boring selection of frames! I like very colourful & unusual ones, so have had to purchase online unfortunately.

Attempting to procure my first pair of glasses ever. Eye testing is something that is very foreign to me. The three staff who helped me today were all very patient and helpful. They told me everything they were doing during the testing and why, and explained my prescription and why certain types of lenses were recommended. It was information overload and I was super indecisive over frames so I need to go back once all the info has sunk in and I have decided what I should do, but I know I can go back and they will be just as helpful as they were today.

Staff very welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly.Have established very efficient systems regarding safety for customers and themselves concerning the recent pandemic. Everything wiped down and/or taken for cleaning after your visit.There's a wide variety of glasses to choose from, fashion and costs both catered for adequately.Have used them for quite a few years, there are other companies closer to me but it's worth driving the extra miles to get a decent service.

Despite working with low number of staff and with appointments and on spec customers waiting we were attended to in a friendly and welcoming manner. Staff checked what we were in store for and gave us space to browse and checked in with us as we went. We were served in a friendly and professional manner at all times including when our order was processed very efficiently. Also gave helpful advice on choices etc.
