This is a great independent record store, with loads to browse. It's spacious and bright in there and the staff are friendly and happy to help.I also went to see a gig there in the venue they have upstairs. This is a cool little space with a bar and seating and then a stage area towards the back. It was a surprise to see they had this area too!All in all a great place for live music and vinyl records. I'd recommend a visit!

Rough trade Nottingham is not only an independent record store (with 2 London stores, and 1 Nottingham and 1 Bristol) Offering new and used vinyl in a wide range of genres, CDs and books. But they also present music artists in an intimate setting upstairs where there’s a bar and stage. There’s even a lift for those who can’t manage stairs, just see a member of staff. Some of the live shows they present are held at The Level venue near the university. It’s our regular store for vinyl (and especially record store day). We’ve been to three shows presented by RT, two upstairs at RT which were acoustic, (capacity 150) and one at The Level (1200 standing capacity in main room)

Not great idea to advertise doors opening at one time and keep people, waiting for 20 mins before letting them in. And if you're doing a live performance and a signing have set times or do the live show first so people aren't stood around for 45 minutes waiting.

I've only been in the store part of Rough Trade, haven't been to any events there, but it's great to see 'old school ' record stores going strong. Good selection of vinyl, etc in the store.

It was an amazing experience with the girl who was in late on Saturday. I was looking for the latest Daniel Caesar album but unfortunately it was showing only one in the system. She tried to help me find it for a good 5-8mins but it was sold out. Luckily I got to get the Arlo Parks and The 1975 vinyl at the end. It’s a lovely store I would love to visit again. 10/10 service. They offer student discount at the time as well.

Came here fir the Bar Italia gig and signing. Having seen a few bands here is a very small venue week worth a visit, beer quite pricey but it's the music you come for.....

Acoustically fantastic, the sound guys need some recognition here as it really was a joy for such an intimate venue. The bar staff were friendly and served fast and there was plenty of lounge area to relax in (we did arrive early) A nice venue with some good artists lining up.Small but almost insignificant piece of advice... Park at Victoria centre in the evening it's a five minute walk away.
