Little Munchkins Play Barn

Been here a few times, it's for under 5s so now our toddlers are more confident and playing together it's great for me and my friends to mostly leave them to play in the areas on their own and we can catch up and chat, it is very small so you can have eyes on the children in the whole place. Each time we've been I do get the impression the lady doesn't like/want to clear up- she asked of my friends to tell her children to keep the toys in one of the areas- I'm sure there is probably 'safety' reasons attached to this but going by other reviews I feel its more a mess reason. For the price and ease it is a great little place though. Toy area, climbing frame and slide area, sandpit area and soft play area. Drinks and snacks available at fair enough prices too.

Lovely little barn with a few different sections for your little one to play and explore. It's not very big and can get quite crowded quickly and I thought it was a bit cold my feet were frozen (just my opinion)Have a selection of hot drinks and snacks at affordable prices. Overall a great few hours out for your toddler.

We love the little play barn, perfect for my 2 year old as she can free play as the equipment is for under 5's. Great price and good coffee also!

Lovely play area for under 5's my 3yr old grandson loved it, bit annoying to charge for 2 adults with him as we were just having a look around the shops and popped in there for him to have a play and it was over £8 but had a lovely cup of tea

We’ve been taking our toddlers here a few times over the last year. They really love it, however yesterday I took my 3.5 yo daughter with a mum friend and her daughter of the same age. There were only 2 other children there mostly playing in the sandpit. Our girls went to play in the corner room with the push chairs and toys. They took all the toys off the side and put them in the little tent in the corner as they were playing ‘houses’. Then the lady running it came over and started asking them to put everything back. My daughter looked terrified like she was in trouble. When I intervened and asked if she would prefer them not to play in there she said ‘they’ve taken all the toys off the side and there are other children here’. There were 2 other kids. Me and my friend were very shocked at this behaviour. It’s almost like she doesn’t want the kids to make a mess. Very odd and I’m not sure we’ll be going back as I felt really sorry for my daughter and her friend feeling like they were in trouble.

A lovely session with my granddaughter when they put on a beach day and fun fair session too. The owl display and miniature steam train all added to the enjoyment of the day.

Really cute little soft play and sand pit, we've been twice now and it's been pretty quiet both times. Wish I'd known about it before!

What a wonderful hidden gem! We absolutely love it here. Sue just makes the experience so much better! Thank you Sue! Sue played with our boys, building towers, making them feel comfortable. They even asked to come back to build towers with Sue! One of our new favourite places! Thank you xx

I went here with a friend and there is a no packed lunch rule which is frankly outrageous.The only food available is crisps, chocolate and sweets. A limited selection of highly preserved sandwiches for over £3 each and sugary drinks. The only fresh food I could see was a bunch of bananas.We were told the reason packed lunches were not ok is due to allergies but none of the food they sold was actually allergy friendly from what I could see. One child we took does have an allergy/strict dietary requirements and they couldn’t eat any of the food on sale and also weren’t able to eat their own lunch.The reason of this rule was “bannered” as due to allergies but if all the food they sell contain allergens (dairy, wheat and food likely with nut traces because it’s not been freshly prepared) then once the food on sale is removed from the individual packaging then anyone with a severe allergy would be at risk.They should just say it how it is - that they want you to have to buy food so on top of the money you pay to have a time limited 2 hour session they want extra money from the food you will have to buy.Would not recommend visiting as plenty of places will have cheaper tickets and let kids eat their freshly made lunch no questions asked.

Not great. Felt like the lady who owns it doesn’t really enjoy her job, wasn’t a particularly warm welcome. Facilities are below average. The whole place felt quite dirty. We were told to get off the soft play equipment with our 10 month old babies, which is unusual in a soft play, also meant ultimately they couldn’t use this equipment because they can’t walk yet. In the toy room, none of the battery operated toys worked. Won’t be returning.
