Sharp Physiotherapy

After a full season of playing cricket my knees were in a bad way. I couldn't get up out of the chair without support, waking up in pain in the night, struggling to walk and I had alot of swelling around my knee. I decided to visit Sharp's physio to see what could be done. I was appointed Sam Tompkins and straight away I knew I was in great hands. Sam took the time to listen to my situation and did a really thorough evaluation of my past and present situations with my knees, and identifed some issues that needed addressing in my quads and knees. I started to see him once a week, where I would be given a deep tissue massage and stretches to help loosen my muscles and help support my knee. During this time I was told to do no leg sessions at the gym and refrain from jogging/running at all costs. As the weeks went on my mobility improved and the swelling in my knees reduced significantly. After 6 weeks of being treated by Sam my knees feel amazing, the pain and swelling have gone and last week I was allowed to start jogging. It is the first time in a very long time I have been pain free when running and the next day there was no swelling or pain in my knee. I highly recommend seeing Sam and the team at Sharps Physio, as they are all a delight. 100% give it a try for any issues you may have and they're more than happy to help. 10 out of 10!!

The treatment for my wife, Jill, was fantastic. Her sciatica was extremely bad this time and lasted weeks. She started attending physio with Matthew after suffering badly for about 6 weeks. His treatment was excellent and very effective. It was great to see her walking without pain and a limp. Thanks again.

Had troubles with my right hip, turned out to be hip dysplasia, struggled to walk properly and had a big trip planned two weeks later after the incident that required physio. Sam Tompkins gave expert advice, soothed the pain I had and left me feeling comfortable to travel for my big trip! I honestly could not thank him enough, he was amazing. Thanks so much again Sam!

Have to say this place is quality. Got myself a back injury due to overloading whilst training. The pain was unreal but got in with Joe that was happy to help as quick as he could. The knowledge he has is incredible, he knew what it was the second i told him the pain. The treatment was class, pinpoint accuracy on the problem, amazing instructions for home care and rehab, even got me in the gym they have to show me how to strengthen the problem area. All in all there is no place better. I recommend to everyone I know with injuries. Thanks for getting me back to training with confidence that I won’t pull my back again.

I have been attending Sharp physio for over a year now and I could not reconmend the team enough. Sam has been very thorough with me throughout and is always friendly and open to listening to my problems.I also had some custom insoles made with Joe which have helped tremendously with pains I used to get in my foot.You can put your trust with these guys to get you back on your feet. 10/10, thank you

Fantastic service fromStart to finish! Joe and his team have been magnificent. The attention to detail and knowledge and care that they have provided me from the early stages of my injury (a bad medial knee ligament tear- sustained from a football tackle) to the latter stages and rehab have been second to none! I would definitely recommend Joe and his team! Sam T did some fantastic work with my 14 year old son’s football related injuries. We visited a couple of other physios before Sharp and didn’t have much success with an ongoing back issue but Sam worked with him over a number of months to help him improve it. He also sprained his ankle and Sam helped him get back to full strength with some rehab sessions. Sam had a really good rapport with my son and my son actually enjoyed the sessions. Would highly recommend Sharp Physiotherapy.

When I hurt my back they saw me really quickly - next day. Sam from Sharp's really helped me from the first session - immediate relief and walked out feeling significantly better. They gave me an exercise and stretching program to follow which really helped too and now after several sessions my back is much better. Really happy and they'd definitely be my first port of call for any injury that can benefit from physio now.

Hard to put into words how fantastic Lucy and the team at Sharp Physiotherapy truly are. I was staring down the barrel of spinal surgery for a very large herniated disc. I had no feelings in my legs and had lost all strength, I was truly petrified. I tried Lucy and the team in the hope of avoiding surgery and as per the direction of my consultant. Following a full consultation Lucy set to work on my back with numerous hands on treatments as well as homework for me to complete away from the clinic. As a long term sufferer the exercises and treatment I received was exceptional and completely different to anything I had known. I was informed throughout in respect of my treatment and why it was happening and the admin is on point and professional. To cut a long story short they simply changed my daily existence, I was able to avoid surgery, return to normality along with work and I cannot thank Lucy and the team enough. They were fantastic and I am forever grateful for all they undertook on my behalf. This practice is different class.
