Stumbled on this pub by accident, got lost whilst driving but kept it in mind and returned to visit few days later. Pretty village location.We had a drink with our meal, food was lovely and prices very reasonable, shall definitely return.Young lady serving behind the bar was very friendly and welcoming.Garden area looked lovely with lots of plants/flowers, large car park.

We visited the beautiful village of Timberland for a fishing and relaxing holiday. We were told about how wonderful the village pub is, and it definitely deserves this reputation. The pub and gardens are stunning, there is a pool table and a darts board. The menu choices are vast, and everything is home made (with a special mention to the home made scotch egg - wow!), and huge portion sizes. We ate here more than once, and the food was a consistent 10/10!!! The food and drinks were all very reasonably prices. The staff and locals are all lovely and friendly. If you get a chance to visit, absolutely do it! We'll absolutely be back next year, and thank you for the warm welcoming experience!

Sunday lunch food was superb had the roast beef melted in the mouth plenty of vegetables brought to the table.The staff were most helpful will definitely be returning.

Only had food which was excellent. Wednesday night they had offers on steaks, and they were excellent and plentiful. Highly recommend this place

I have not stayed here but visit often for a meal. The pub is family and dog friendly, the food is very good.

Nice food customer service poor.Been there twice the first time for a meal where we were ignored while l assume the landlady completely ignored us for 10 minutes while she was talking to three guests. The second time l just popped in for a pint when l was ignored again by the same lady who had her back to me at the bar ! Had she said I’ll be with you in a minute it would have been fine but to be ignored until you say something is just very very very poor service
