Glorious building. Design, craftsmanship and age shows how good they really were way back when. Also, please visit the church next door and make a small donation.

A large barn set back from the road in a delightful setting. Fascinating description of how it was built and purpose of it, plus its restoration in the 1980s. Examples of cider presses inside. Surrounding buildings are interesting too.

Wow, great example from our history, amazing to see the work of the medieval carpenters, still standing up to the test of time. Have to appreciate the workmanship and engineering, all the connections and bracing sections. Worth dropping in and taking a look.

Just fabulous to see the workmanship and scale and that it's still standing for all to enjoy.

A spectacular example of craftsmanship and a breath taking window into history. The barn itself is located on a property, next to a quaint English church. When I visited you could hear a pin drop and this helped in my total emergence in this stunning relic from history.

Website and sign outside says opens at 10 on a Sunday in August - we showed up at 10, waited till 10.30, still no one came to open the place up. Every door we tried was locked. Clearly sleeping off a hangover and couldn’t be bothered. Really shabby bearing in mind this is a government owned organisation and they get public money for this. Complete waste of our time and travel - don’t visit as they can’t be bothered to even show up.

Very interesting old structure. Nothing more than the barn, cider press and chickens, so it needn't be a long visit. Some information about the history and construction. Definitely worth a look.

Quite a big barn with information boards telling you about the details of each facilities. Hard to find the actual barn although the local workers there helped me to find it.

Amazing building. Tricky to find as from one direction the English Heritage sign isn't in full view. From the other direction it was easy to see! The barn is set back from the road, on a bend, next to the church. Roadside parking only (small layby close to the church entrance) and no facilities, but definitely well worth a visit.
