It was good but we were not expecting to have to walk from the Pettycur harbour westward then turn and walk back. No way off the beach once you're on it and good fitness required for clambering over the rocks

Came to pettycur beach at the weekend, Beautiful views. As it is February, not many people around so we had the beach pretty much to ourself. I would imagine it would be very busy in the summer.

Beautiful town beach. Water was crystal clear when I visited and the sand soft and silky. Loved the ancient sea wall at one end and craggy cliffs at the other. Lots of families and people enjoying the sunshine. Easy free parking. Recommend.

Beautiful walk at low tide but watch out for lots of stranded jellyfish and muddy areas. Option to do circular walk from Burntisland to Kinghorn along the road.

What a lovely beach and nice views across the sea was very busy as at weekend. The steps down are not the best but it’s lovely.

Great place to explore but better and safer when the tide is going out. Free parking at the Harbour

Nice place to walk your dog, small sandy beach near the harbour, beware of the tides when on the sand flats further around past the rocks. Don't park on the double yellow lines in Pettycur road as these are patrolled by Council Parking Attendants, there is a free Council car park behind the harbour wall. The water can be very shallow so care needed if in a boat it's an ideal place to kayak, wind surf, paddle board or fish ( mostly flounder and mackerel in Summer with the odd Bass showing, fish from the harbour wall, incoming high tide the best). There is a larger sandy beach near the harbour with more around the corner over or around the rocks ( beware these sometimes get cut off on high tides and clambering over the rocks can be tricky). Important to note you sometimes get a rip tide out from the harbour wall especially if there is a wind. There are no Public toilets in the area.

The most beautiful and peaceful beach I've ever visited. It is very clean and dog friendly. When the tide is out you can walk for miles

Pettycur beach is a clean sandy slice of joy, with lovely views over the Forth river, excellent for a nice stroll while hunting for sea glass, or a day sunbathing with the family and a picnic.
