Nice place with nice atmosphere.I ordered soup of day, mac&cheese, chips and cup of tea.Soup of day - butternut squash, sweet potato and red pepper. Served with butter and country bread. Very tasty.Chips just simple. Nothing special.Mac&cheese served with fresh salad and two toast, weren't tasty for me. Pasta were ok, but sauce no. Fresh salad were tasty with special mustard sauce. Two toast too burn for me.Cup of tea. I ordered raspberry tea or camomile tea but it is was not available, so i have got earl grey tea. Tea were ok.Food maybe not the best but atmosphere yes. I like this place. Thank you.

Rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. Bathroom was above average with large claw foot tub which was a real pleasure. Pub downstairs had a cozy atmosphere where you could have a casual drink or full dinner.

Stopped at Blackfriars Inverness for a meal. Friendly service. Nice food. Good quality meat. Reasonable prices per meal average £15-£20 main's.Clean and easy access for all.No parking outside but multi story car park and others just over the road.Overall I would recommend visiting

A great, friendly and relaxed restaurant/bar serving excellent perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and extremely satisfying. I do thoroughly enjoyed my pork bell the first night that we went back again the next night. Service was friendly and they were very happy to describe the beers and whisky they had to offer and even big up other places in Inverness.Blackfriars’s is the type of place that gives a city a great reputation. Definitely go when you get the chance!!!

Not friendly toward people with disabilities. Had to cancel room because we had a medical emergency during the trip that left my mom in a wheelchair and since they have rooms upstairs with no lift, their only suggestion was for my mom to scoot up the stairs. On top of that, they still have refused to provide a refund for the cancelled room. I guess these good reviews are from people without disabilities because our experience was nothing but awfully disappointing.

Stayed here for a night while on our honeymoon last month, it was hit & miss -- when we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly staff member who checked us in and told us where to find parking which was admittedly a little difficult. We happily then went up to our room, which we found to be lovely-- clean, nicely sized and beautifully decorated. We then really enjoyed eating and drinking downstairs at the pub that evening, again staff was great, super friendly and attentive and our meal was delicious -- but when it came to trying to sleep later that night... I'm honestly surprised anyone can stay here. It was SO loud! From the outside noises to the pub below and the people inside the surrounding rooms, it didn't quiet down enough to fall asleep until about 2AM-- then bam! Around 5AM everything was up and going again. We are not light sleepers and when drinking can both easily fall asleep if noise is minimal, but wow, it was an awfully frustrating night. Great place to stay if you're not looking to get any sleep! When brought to the attention of the staff member who checked us out early the next day, we were met with a that's too bad" which was disappointing and made us feel brushed off."

Went to the restaurant for drinks, so can't speak for the hotel or the food. They have a large selection of drinks including a variety of whiskeys and gins. Lots of different beers too. Settling is really great.

This was our last stop before heading home. Amazing stay. Rooms are clean and well furnished. The staff went above and beyond when I left a personal item. They did not have to do what they did and I am so grateful!

Saturday night I was out for dinner with wife and friends. Staff were extremely helpful polite and attentive. Food was well cooked and presented. Very reasonable priced. Bar well stocked with spirits & wines only downside was some beers were not available. Restaurant bar was very clean with waiting staff clearing tables and very cheerful going about their duties. Will be back.

I had a delicious haggis beautifully presented in a cylindrical shape with the tatties on the bottom, the neeps in the middle and the haggis on the top, all drizzled with delicious whiskey sauce. I was just going to have a wee taste before I took a picture, but It was so delicious I forgot to take a picture before I ate it all. The pork belly with black pudding was also VERY good.
