Fantastic experience. We were both novices and after the 2.5 hour lesson were feeling confident, although pretty tired. Had a lovely gentle paddle up the river. Martin told us lots about local history and wildlife as we went. Hope to come on another trip soon

Completed an introductory session (2.5 hours) with Martin today- as a complete beginner I wasn’t really sure how I would get on. I need not have worried. Martin is friendly, patient and clear in his instructions, but with a relaxed and flexible approach that put us all at ease. We started with basic skills, but it was great to practise self rescue and peer rescue techniques too. There is definitely something good for the soul about being on the river and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Martin and Outdoor Explore Wales to others. My next plan is to get the rest of my family involved!

I’m so happy with Martin and the sea tuition I got from him. As a fairly new SUP board owner I needed to have someone I could trust to explain the ocean clearly and simply and Martin did just that.I had all my own kit, but Martin not only offers equipment hire but he carries some spares on the day should anything occur for his client to use.The booking system was easy, and communication following that was regular and informative even down to the What3words code for the meeting point.From beginning to end the sea tuition was exactly what I needed to gain an understanding of the tide, winds and other potential problems as well as how to ride the waves, positioning of the board and how to stand. Well worth the money.

We enthusiastically booked our 7 year old son onto a SUP youth session with Martin at Outdoor Explore Wales. After booking we were a bit nervous about our son managing and Martin responded to all our questions in such a kind manner.So, since the session yesterday, he has not stopped talking about SUP- how it is his favourite thing and how he wants to do it again. In a world where screens frequently take over our lives, I’m pleased he's found the river.He enjoyed the session immensely- learning the techniques and playing games. This was pitched at the right level for a mixed group, inclusive, fun and safe. Thank you Martin for this- think we may have a new hobby! We continue to recommend Martin and Outdoor Explore Wales to our friends and family- our experiences so far really have been fantastic.

Had a brilliant morning with Martin..he gave me lots of help and advice and was very informative about the area and was chilled and so nice to have some company. Excellent..How lucky are we to have a Feelgoodpaddle" on a Monday morning on the Brecon canal."

Fantastic experience, our visit outing at Paddleboarding. Martin was a great instructor, knowledgable and very patient. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to have go. We will be back!

Martin gives good tuition from start to finish and encourages you along the way, equipment available to rent or you can use your own, maximum of 4 people on the course, overall a good day out with good company.
