Magic Wok

The last two take always from Magic Wok have been awful. The chicken in the chicken satay was as hard as iron, and generally it felt like the food had been hanging around. It’s a shame as it used to be so good but not any more.

Ordered a Meal for 3 like we have many times before never an issue but this time normally feeds 4 quite easily but portion sizes appear to be smaller and was missing a dish after a bit of back and fourth missing dish was supplied. This is more like a meal for 2 now

Food has improved massively in the last year. Really tasty. Smallish portions but acceptable if the quality is good. Only thing is I ordered a beef curry and basically got a mushroom curry as was the ratio of meat to mushroom.

The special fried Rice was cold and had no flavour, the mixed meat curry was more like a vegetable curry and overfilled a tiny tub so spilled out in the bag! Will not use magic wok again.

Just had the worst cooked Chinese I’ve ever had . The prawns were rock hard you couldn’t eat with soggy batter . The crispy beef was Rock hard and dry . Sweet&sour chicken had a soggy over cooked batter and rice was all dried up . Seemed this had been heated up in the microwave . Will never order again . Stay away

Very nice food, probably my favourite Chinese takeaway in the local area. Nice manageable portion sizes and not greasy. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered from magic wok for a delivery and an hour goes by so I call. No answer. No food so I leave it for another 40 mins and still nothin so I call again another 11 times and line is dead every time. Turns out my number got blocked. Stay away if you hungry cause ur get your hopes up for food that will never come.

Perfection. The greatest food I have ever eaten, it was absolutely exquisite. I live 40 minutes away and I got to our house in just under an hour after ordering. Fast. Efficient. Delicious. I have eaten at 5 star restaurants not as good as this. I would definitely recommend to anyone under the sun. Absolutely fantastic.

We ordered a meal to be delivered on Saturday evening. We are 4.3 miles away. During the conversation there was no mention of any delay. After one hour and still no food or contact from them, we phoned only to be told that the delivery guy was just on his way and would be right there. Another half an hour went by and eventually the food arrived. It was cold, greasy and inedible with soft prawn crackers (one unordered bag - like that would make a difference!) We tried to reheat the food but that just dried everything out. The ribs were tasteless and sinewy, the rice cold and stodgy, the rest of it was just plain yucky. They had our phone number: if they were too busy or the driver got lost then it would have been good practice to let us know and we could have gone elsewhere. Spoilt a nice evening in. We won't be using them again. I wonder if these reviews are read by the owners and if so, what response will they make or do they care? Watch this space.Sue & GrahamWest Kingsdown.

Wouldn't go anywhere else! The food is unreal! chicken in chilli szechuan style is possibly the best dish I've tasted in a long time.
