One of the things I definitely appreciate. Is honesty and clarity plus of course customer service. I recently purchased the car from here and everything was explained to me clearly and I wasn't rushed through the purchase process. Probably will come back for another car in the future. All I can say is I highly recommend Portfiled.

Even though the car was PX it came with LOTS of paperwork and considering the age and mileage the car (2006 Audi A6 Avant 3.0 TDI, 211,000 miles) is in decent condition. The battery was flat, though, which meant the car had to be jump started before I took it away and because the car had almost no fuel in it (which was disappointing as I had travelled two hours by train to view it, but the dealer knocked £20 off so I could fuel it enough to get home) I had to be jump started again after visiting a local petrol station, which was done by the dealer again.Lesley, who works at the dealer said it must have been a 'loose connection', which I didn't think was the case. He also said I was starting the car wrong, which I took his word for as my experience with this generation of A6 is limited but I later found his statement was not right.I had my place of work (German Car Specialist Repair Garage) test the battery and found it was knackered (technical term) which meant having to dish out money for a new one. Since fitting it I've found the car actually has a battery drain, which is disappointing but not currently a terminal problem. Not ideal, but such is life.When driving the car home I found there was a vibration at motorway speeds, leaving me to believe the wheel balancing was out. It turns out ALL four wheels were out of balance, so good thing I had that checked.Also, when the V5C arrived (that came very quickly actually, especially given the time of year) and the name is wrong and also spelt incorrectly. This makes no sense as Lesley at the dealer took my driving license and took the details of that. So that means I need to send the V5C off again to have it rectified.To give balance and fairness, Stephen, at the dealer was quick to respond to emails and was very helpful when I queried the lack of locking wheel nut key (it turns out there was one place I hadn't looked) although he completely disregarded my grumble about the battery and did not make any kind of apology.Also had the car health checked and considering how much use it's had, it's in quite good health, so it's a credit to its previous owners of which it's only had two.***TL,DR: Car seems to be decent, especially for the price, age and mileage, but I think there are room for improvement from the dealer - perhaps it's because this car is a PX? Mind you, whether the car is £1,500 or £15,000 the level of customer care shouldn't make a difference.***

Recommended. Bought from them few weeks ago. Helpful, polite and low pressure sales. I had a small repair carried out later under warranty and it was paid for in part by the warranty company with the remainder made up by Portfield.

I rarely leave on line reviews but this garage deserves one. I recently purchased a used Range Rover Sport and was very pleased with the whole experience. The car is in excellent condition and had a comprehensive service history which is always a bonus when purchasing a used vehicle. There was absolutely no pressure from Stephen at any point and he was happy for us to take the vehicle out for a test drive unaccompanied.The test of a company is always it's after sales service. I realised when I had been using the car for a few days that the stop/start feature wasn't operating correctly. This was diagnosed as a faulty auxiliary battery by my local Land Rover specialist and Lawson was happy for them to replace the battery to save me driving back to Bournemouth and pick up the cost. It is a refreshing change from experiences I have had in the past.You can buy a car from this company with confidence.

I was very apprehensive about buying from a company 150 miles away and also wanted to wait to put a review on until I had the car for 3 months and used it long distance. Lawson was true to his word and very helpful. We are very pleased with the car

After a fair few years my 09 plate insignia needed replacing.. I purchased a q5 from Portfield cars and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From first point of contact I found Stephen very responsive, clear and helpful. I am very happy with the car and support with the sale and a very smooth transaction- being in sales myself I found the whole experience pleasurable and no 'pushyness'- people buy people and I am pleased to report that this Business exceeded my personal expectations.

Purchased a Range Rover Autobiography from this dealer recently. Given a reasonable p/x price on my car but after sleeping on it was sitting on the fence. Had an email conversation with Lawson and decided to get down from the fence and travel from Wiltshire to view the vehicle. It was immaculate and was left to test drive on my own. Lawson said he would replace the side steps as one was slightly damaged. No pressure from Lawson at all and I decided to go ahead. Collected the car a few days later with new MOT and service plus new side steps as promised. Pleasure to deal with this company refreshing experience after searching for a Range Rover and not getting replies to my enquiries from other dealers Lawson was very quick to answer and in person very amenable.

Excellent company to deal with. The team is really helpful accommodating.Bought this Audi A7 from PCS, after a couple months I picked up on a coolant loss and a heater issue.Due to having a baby around the same time PCS understood and allowed me some extra time before taking the car to be sorted.They brought to me, and provided, the curtesy car.After they honoured their warranty policy and had the car repaired by a Audi specialist, they kept in touch for a few weeks after to make sure the car was okay and not playing up after such a big repair.

Fantastic service from Stephen. Great communication over the phone & email. Went above and beyond to ensure the vehicle was prepped in time for me to view/purchase. Really happy with the car & laid back approach from Stephen. Thanks again.
