BEWARE!!BEWARE........So very disappointed in the lime plastering carried out recently to our stone farmhouse. Karl was very keen to inform us of the aesthetics of using lime plaster in a very old property. Compared to normal gypsum plaster it was expensive but we felt that it would be worth it to give the room character. I was extremely pleased at the initial result, but soon the plaster started crumbling in many places. It had turned to dust .Karl returned quickly to see what the problem could be and wasshocked at the mess. He took photos and stated he believed there was something wrong with the ready made mix. He promised to get in touch with the manufacturers. Christine also contacted me and asked me to send her a video.Alarm bells rang when Christine said on the phone that no way were they paying for remediation!We received a letter from Christine stating that there was nothing wrong with the plastering and the firm that supplied it was stating it was normal for the plaster to be very soft and crumble. She went on to say that Karl was not responsible and they would not be putting things right, nor would they provide any plaster to fill the holes, we would have to provide it if he was to come and fix the holes.Even after stating that under the sale of goods act it WAS their legal responsibility to provide goods that were up to standard..WE WOULD NOT RECCOMMEND KARL CHAMBERS TO CARRY OUT ANY WORK WHATSOEVER.

This is an amazing family business. They have helped us enormously. I cannot recommend them enough. Karl,Martin and his team have done an excellent plastering job on our extension and turned what was a mess into a home. They are prompt clean tidy honest and trustworthy. Christine has been very kind and supportive even recommended other trades people to us and always quickly responded to my messages. THANKYOU ALL we will definitely be using you again and recommending you to our family and friends.

This week i had my hallways and stair walls plastered by Karl, who did a great job and at a good price...The walls are completely transformed, and I'm very pleased with the work that has been done!

Karl has made a fantastic job of replastering our entrance hall, stairwell an upper landing.This is the third room in our house that Karl has replastered, all have been fist rate.We will definitely use Chambers Plastering again and would highly recommend them.

Definitely wouldn’t use this company again or recommend them. The finish was very poor, visible lines on the wall from the plasterboard and many areas required sanding which took hours. Screw heads visible and a really big dip left in the wall. They like to tell you they have so many years experience and do great work but it really doesn’t look like a professional job. If you want a good finish I would go elsewhere.Again very disappointed reading the response after my negative review i did paint the walls first, after painting the walls that’s when everything was showing up and I started sanding the bad areas of the poor quality of plasterboarding work that was done and the poor skimming, 30 years of experience to have this finish is shocking in my opinion. Be aware over the phone if you have not used them before they are very convincing but the finished job is what counts and they did not try to resolve anything they just blamed me for sanding down the poor work. Paint does not leave dips and rough edges and lumps which require sanding clearly it was the plaster that had the poor finish.

Excellent service with an amazing plastering finish. Karl went over and above what was expected of what was required. Thank you
